Yeah, too bad Ramadan was not arranged around the NBA playoffs.
Can't they change it?Yeah, too bad Ramadan was not arranged around the NBA playoffs.

Yeah, some prophet that guy was. Pffft.Muhammed should have thought about that.
OK then! I'm fasting from now until the start of the game.Hakeem talks about the increased mental awareness actually helping him in the playoffs. Might be a good time to fast.

I always wondered what would happen if
(a) Ramadan fell around midsummer
(b) you were a Muslim at the North Pole.
Would you have to starve?
No, too bad people still believe in this nonsense. Religions are a scourge of the world.Yeah, too bad Ramadan was not arranged around the NBA playoffs.
Unfortunately that's exactly what happens in many (most?) Muslim countries. They are forced to follow the rules of this religion for fear of punishment by law or extrajudicial punishment from their Muslim community. Sorry, it's just hard for me to not think about how many people this religion (and others too) hurts and oppresses in the name of "tolerance".I have no problem with people's individual beliefs. My problem is when they try to make their beliefs law and force the rest of us to follow them. Otherwise it's in the category of what people do in their private life and hence not my business.
I live in this country where states pass laws restricting women's bodies and allowing denial of health care to gay and trans people because they think that's Christian.Unfortunately that's exactly what happens in many (most?) Muslim countries. They are forced to follow the rules of this religion for fear of punishment by law or extrajudicial punishment from their Muslim community. Sorry, it's just hard for me to not think about how many people this religion (and others too) hurts and oppresses in the name of "tolerance".
Ramaddan is at a different time each year, the muslim calender is built around the moon and the month of Ramaddan moves about 10 days each year and circles around the year
