OT EPA is now allowing asbestos back into manufacturing

ahh lets go back to the good old days of no regulations, the time when corporations did not have to care about the repercussions of how they manufactured something or how they delt with their waste. Just dump all your waste into the ocean like in Florida. This administration is doing damage that is going to take decades to fix with rolling back on regulations put in place to prevent things like this.

Also isn't the #1 manufacturer of asbestos in the world Russia?

next up...lead toys are ok for your toddler to chew on...

Kids should be allowed to decide for themselves whether to chew on lead paint.

Congress passed this and Obama signed it in 2016.

This news comes after the EPA reviewed its first batch of 10 chemicals under the 2016 amendment to the 1976 Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA), which required the agency to continually reevaluate hundreds of potentially toxic chemicals to see whether they should face new restrictions or be removed from the market.

...Obama did not "approve" the return of asbestos...Trump did...nice try though.

This is shocking....we still have an EPA? I thought Trump gutted their funding. We'll now have an asbestos border wall! Cross it at the risk of lung cancer!
He's effectively gutted the EPA. Even the Superfund Cleanup is now progressing at a snail's pace.

so he signed a bill that requires reviewing many harmful chemicals to see if further restrictions and/ or banning the chemical completely is equivalent to allowing a proven harmful chemical like asbestos to be used again? Wow.

It should be up to each individual state whether a child consumes lead or not and how much lead. I think Texans lead the nation in lead consumption. Thank God for states rights. Making America Great Again.
