The LA Times found Eva Longoria walking out of the Marvel Studios office clutching several comics. One of them happened to be an Avengers book. The LA Times says this means that she's interested in playing a part in The Avengers. Who? Well there are a few options. The Wasp, who i love, but I prefer the Ultimates version, which is an Asian woman. Or Black Widow... Either option is rather is possible.
But really, it doesn't mean anything yet. The movie is barely underway, and to cast a character like The Wasp first, would be a crucial error on the part of Marvel. To top it off, I have never been impressed with Eva's acting chops. She wouldn't be a terrible choice, but a few years afterwards you can be sure people would feel the same way about her character as people do Halle Berry's incarnation of Storm in the X-Men trilogy. Thank god The Wasp isn't even an A-list character. BUT ONCE AGAIN THIS IS JUST SPECULATION AND RUMOR!
The LA TImes is seriously grasping at straws and none of them are correct. I mean she's not a great actress by any stretch of the imagination. Do you think she's really in the running? On the other hand, why is she leaving the Marvel offices at all? She's beautiful enough to play the part! But come on... I just don't know. What do you think?
