Everyone sacrificed but Blake

Blake is the best PG in the league. He has sacrificed his game to mesh with Roy.

Blake is the best PG in the league. By far. But he's sacrificed his game to mesh with Roy.

If Nate gave Blake the reins, he would play like this every night:

Blake isn't even the best PG in the league with first name of Steve.

Stupid me, I actually just spent the last few minutes looking for a PG named "Steve" on nba.com/players

totally spacing on Steve Nash as the obvious choice.

Switch Nash and Blake and you'd see a huge difference. Blake would do everything that Nash does in Phoenix and they'd be undefeated. Here in Portland, he'd look like his time had past, having to share the ball with Roy and Miller and averaging 8 & 6.

Blake isn't even a PG

Fixed.

I never realized Blake went off against the Clippers WHEN they were playing Novak, Ricky Davis, & Mardy Collins. Steve Blake would definitely be MVP if he could play D-League talent every night.

ok, what's the punchline?

Steve Blake isn't even the best Maryland point guard named Steve.

No.

If Blake is the best PG in the game because of one game record, Scott Skiles is the best PG ever for having the most assists in one game.

So Blake is the best point guard because of that one game
Webster is the best small forward because of "the quarter" in Utah 2 years ago
Oden is the worst ... then the best center in the league depending on the quarter.

I think I'm getting the hang of this.

Steve Blake is the best point guard in the NBA... someone should tell him.

Kingspeed: "Steve! You're the best point guard in the NBA! It's okay! Stop hiding it!"

Steve: "Oh my god... he's right."

Next game Blanky goes off for 30 points, 15 assists, and 5 boards.

Umm... duh. Scott Skiles IS the best PG ever.

I think Magic Johnson, John Stockton, Oscar Robertson, and Jason Kidd have something to say about that...

And after they're done speaking, Gary Payton, Steve Nash, Bob Cousy, and Isah Thomas would probably want a go.

This situation with Blake really brings back memories of Damon Stoudamire. Dude was a crappy PG, yet we couldn't bring in anyone to take his spot. It was unreal. Anthony had a go at it, but only in the 4th quarter.

Another 80 million dollar man. At least he won a ROY. What has Blake ever done? Oh, my bad, I forgot he has had one game where he dropped a bunch of assists.

This has to be a joke.

LaMarcus has to share the post with the emergence of GO = sacrificed. Martell was playing decently and was taken out of the starting lineup for the 3 guards lineup = sacrificed. Miller outplayed Blake in the preseason, yet was relegated to the bench = sacrificed. Roy had to move over to SF so that we could go with both Miller and Blake in the backcourt.

Amazing how seemingly every moves Nate has made seems to have accommodated Flakey. Is this team being built around Flakey?

You got a good point.

What blows my mind is that Steve Blake can play horrible quarters of basketball and never get jerked out of the game. Then Bayless or Rudy can come in and blow one play and get jerked out of the game. That has to piss them off when the coach is playing favorites.

The facts are, Steve Blake is the worst starting PG in the league. There are probably 5 rookie PG out of this draft alone that are better than him.

I have pretty much given up hope at this point that Nate will ever remove him from the lineup, and resigned myself to the fate that comes along with it.
