Elliott: Good.

Luke: Only if he's in spot 12 to 15.

Nolan: Who made it clear to whom that he's a free agent? Either way works for me, but I'm curious...

These were exit interviews. I am assuming Neil Olshey made it clear

For supposedly being a shooter Babbitt can hit shit. Why bring him back?

Thx MM, Luke I just don't think is comin back, EWill I would give a <1 mil contract to for 1 yr

Joel Freeland lost 6-7% body fat. Went from 13 to 8

He looked much improved the last month vs the rest of the season. He is lucky he has a guaranteed contract. He might just show something by the time it is over.

Leonard said he'll be here, working on defending the paint, rebounding, anchoring the defense #BlazerExitInterviews

I don't see Luke coming back based on his minutes the last few games. And I think it is a mistake.

He looked stronger this year, and he rebounded decently when he was in there. Yes he forced some bad 30 footers when he played in desperate situations, but he showed he can hit big shots and he improved quite a bit on D from last year.

I would not be surprised if he signs with the Lakers if D'Antoni is kept. He is perfect to play along side Howard in the stretch 4 role. I agree though he would not be in our top 10. (11-12)

good, he needs a boatload of work, do we need a different big man coach? Meyers made very little progress on the defensive/rebounding edge this season, that really disappointed me - I did not expect that much, just some decent improvement

Meyers Leonard says he has to do better job defending paint, blocking shots. He's at 250lbs. Hopes to get to 255-260 by start of next season

Leonard said he'll be on a "5-to 6-month mission" to prove he's the defensive-minded rim protecter GM Neil Olshey will look for this summer

Meyers Leonard on his toughest assignment this season: "Probably Marc Gasol."

we can only hope that the work equates to improvement, something I saw too little of for him from the beginning to end of season

Se acabo mi primera temporada NBA. Contento de haber dado un paso adelante en mi carrera y en mi vida. No es un final, solo el principio...

Roughly translated to

My first year in the NBA is finished. I am happy to have finished this first year of my career. It is not the end, it's only the beginning

Actual Claver translation: My first period NBA is finished. I satisfy of having passed pass in my career and in my life. It is not an end, alone the beginning

I was damn close

Hmmm... This is interesting. If Leonard actually puts forth the work, he could definitely get to that level. He is sooo young and only time will help out in that regard.

If that's the case, then maybe a stop gap center like Dalembert and possibly Jerm Oneal is enough?

I agree that Babbitt should have an NBA future if people like Ryan Anderson and Steve Novak manage to stick. But it might not be with us.

He would do well with teams that are experienced and already having most their line-up out there. Something like Craig Hodges was to Chicago.

He went on to say: "because he's clearly the best center in the league. Don't listen to that KingSpeed guy. He should learn the game, then post."

I "hope" he can improve quickly, however I did not see that ability at all this year, yes he ie very young and raw so some patience is required

Yes. Yes we do. All the wanting to get better doesn't amount to shit if he doesn't have a good teacher.

How in the hell anyone might think Skippito the AV guy is the big man coach or defensive coach Meyers Leonard needs is completely beyond me.

On the contrary, I thought he showed marked improvement on defense. He went from completely clueless and lost to only mostly clueless and lost, lol...

Seriously, though, I really like his willingness to bang. He may not know how to play defense very well, but at least he plays it pretty hard most of the time...

I mean we pay for a lotta stuff, like the 5 mil practice facility upgrade and buying the Dleauge team, now how bout investing in a big man coach for Meyers from a guy who got it done and was a very good player.

hmmm, his "willingness" to bang? All I saw was him getting constantly banged on and pushed easily out of position all the time.

As you know, the #Blazer interior defense was a problem all yr, and the interior guy (Hickson) says don't blame one person...

"It was never anything individual with one person on our team. Our defense is a team thing and should be kept at a team thing." - Hickson

Often times, the best players are not the best coaches, so just bringing in someone who"got it done" wouldn't necessarily make a difference. I mean, Maurice Lucas was here for a while, and what did he add to LMA? LMA seemed to improve a lot more after he left.
Also, I would expect to see more growth from year one to two than between year one. There isn't tons of practice time during a season, to really get a ton of individual focus he'd need. Having an entire summer/offseason to work with one o four coaches should be a big help.

Is Leonard fighting the "white American stiff" label by pretending to be foreign?
