Before the season ends, are there any free agents you would like the Blazers to target? Remember cap restrictions :)

You said "Vince Carter". So I said: "Not Vince Carter."

That's why.

:devilwink:

Well the guy has been known for his scoring and last time I looked the Blazers where last in bench scoring.

Shawn Marion might be a cheap pickup. Lots of experience, would help off the bench.

Spencer Hawes is unrestricted and would probably be worth it. Also a NW guy, would be a good fit. Kaman might be decent here too.

Probably priced out of Gortat.

Steve Blake on the 3rd String PG.

Kyle Lowry, probably hurt his demand with his last minute drive that resulted in a block, but we might be priced out.

Richard Jefferson.

I'll let Olshey figure it out. He did pretty good last off season.

Oh and welcome to RipCityTwo, it's nice to have you here!

Sergio Rodriguez
Isaiah Thomas (RFA)
Avery Bradley (RFA)
Trevor Ariza (UFA)
Josh McRoberts (player option)
Jason Smith (UFA)

Give me Avery Bradley and Jason Smith from your list

Jason Smith has always been underrated imo. Really active player

Bradley is relentless on defense

I'm thinking now that Mo Williams will exercise his player option for 2014-15, and I think that helps the Blazers. Instead of having to use at least a part of the MLE to find a veteran backcourt player who can create his own shot to replace Mo, Olshey instead will be able to find another veteran who can help with scoring, and make Mo not have to force his offense as often.

I can also see a trade before or during the draft that sends away either CJ or Leonard (or both) for a first-round pick in the late teens if Olshey really likes a player that is there.

Sorry I guess Vince Carter and Paul Pierce are to old for this team. They have championship experience and they can score. Lord knows we would never want anyone like that though.

Too old? Not really.

Fucking scumbags? Absolutely.

IIRC, Mo announced early this spring that he would opt out of his second year. That means that Olshey will have to decide whether to use a good part of the MLE to resign him. Frankly, I can't see that happening. He's been too erratic.

Nick Young and Bazemore are both free agents as is Spencer Hawes and Marcin Gortat

Bradley would be nice. He's a pain in the ass and can D up. Kinda reminds me of a poor man's Tony Allen.

Like a lot of folks I read that list on NBA.com today too. Doesn't bother my 2nd round experience at all though.

Mo can still decide to not opt out, though.
