I have relatives who claimed (til their dying days) that on the night of the hijacking, a man showed up on their property and matched the description of DB Cooper.

Looked a little worse for wear, nervous and carrying a satchel.
 
They "decoded" letters huh. For all we know they created their own code to make it seem like there was evidence Rackstraw is Cooper. I have scene documentary about Rackstraw being Cooper. I am not convinced.
 
The chute most likely didn't open he was killed by the sheer drop, while the 200k and gear weight him down the the bottom of the Lake Merwin. There he gradually decayed while the occasional trout poked his eyeballs out. Or maybe he floated the shore, where brown bears and coyotes ate his ass. Either way, um he's still dead.

I really hope it is this guy, because it's going to make a killer fuckin movie. Oliver Stone is probably chomping at the bit to do this movie.
