Virginia new governor Spanberger ended tax exempt status for United Daughters of the Confederacy and other Confederate traitor groups. They are crying discrimination.
Mayor Mamdani is finalizing a plan with Governor Hochul to levy a tax on second homes with value $5 million and above.

Alabama woman attended No Kings protest wearing inflatable penis costume and carrying sign, "No Dick-tators". She was arrested and charged with disturbing the peace and disobeying an officer when she refused to remove the costume.

A jury acquitted her of all charges.

No information on whether they were able to keep a straight face during the trial.

Analilia Mejia won special election in New Jersey to fill Congressional seat left vacant when former Congresswoman Mikie Sherrill was elected governor. After the primary where she defeated a "mainstream" candidate, pundits wondered if Mejia was too progressive to win general election.
She got 60% of the vote.
