It was. Down 1-3. Fucking disgrace. They're playing like bitches. Fuck them. I'm still a fan, but this is just trash.

The Blazers don't suck, but they certainly didn't do themselves any favors in that 4th quarter.

You can only do so much with the roster that is assembled.

We had the golden ticket (RLEC) to get help and we didn't. I said this at the deadline and I'll say it again:

Fuck you, Pritchard.

FUCK RIP CITY ITS CHOKE CITY!!!!!! HEY ROY YOU GOT TEAMMATES!!!!!

nate really does get a free pass and it needs to stop. his coaching leaves a lot to be desired. houston struggles when yao is fronted, but we try to play behind him all series picking up fouls all game and causing our players to scramble to try to double and recover leaving shooters wide open. keeps playing outlaw in the 4th when he's too stupid to play when it counts. leaves blake in the game at the end when it's quite evident that he's mr. anti-clutch.

and he really needs to get off his ass and bitch out the refs a little and get a T to get the refs to call the game more evenly for his players. and portland really needs to get out of this early 7 or late 7 crap, take the best shot whenever it is, as it is now, we run across midcourt, and just stand around for 10 seconds so we can let the clock run down to 7 or less and end up rushing something

and he never plays rudy until its to late@!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! im so sick of this guy!

Not necessarily "Fuck Pritchard" (because we don't know exactly what kind of deals were out there) but I agree that this roster just doesn't have enough playmakers and guys that get into the lane (guards, forwards, and bigs).

Stop whining boys.

Houston is more experienced, hungrier (for good reason), and have had our number all year. There is no shame in losing to a better team and learning lots in the process.

Word. Houston is just better. You guys are the second (maybe first now?) youngest team in the league. As that 4th Q suggests, the Rockets are making plays and stepping up whilst you guys are making mistakes. The Rockets have a bunch of guys who've been there before and a bunch of guys who really scrap and put the pressure on defensively. Portland is showing their inexperience.

I know this board has a tendency to keep their expectations insanely high but this is a very, very young team in their first PO appearance in a very competitive western conference. Its not surprising at all if they get bounced in the first round in a 4/5 series. Its unrealistic to expect a team this young and inexperienced to get far in the POs. They actually did better in Houston than I thought they would.

Shut
The
Fuck
Up.

If yo.u don't bitch when the team went on a streak after the trade deadline/allstar break to clinch homecourt, don't bitch now. This fucking team has done more than anyone in their right mind has a right to expect. Don't fucking jump off the fucking bandwagon because they're losing in their first playoff appearance in six years to a veteran team with considerably more playoff experience.

Fuck.

What a stupid ass post.. Nate made Blake turn the ball over like a dumbass... And made the Rockets outhustle our whole team in the 4th. Welcome to ban

That's an excellent point. After they got blown out in Game 1, I was afraid it would be even worse in Houston, but both of the last two games have been quite close. I may be crazy, but I wouldn't be surprised to see Portland take the next two games at home.

You mean the next two overall to get back home?

This experience in the playoffs will help the Blazers win more games next season and win games in the playoffs. I agree, that the Rockets certainly are playing like the better team. When guys like Von Wafer look like a all star its really hard to win + our bigs have been in foul trouble way to often. We have yet to play like I know/seen us play this year so its all about confidence.

the problem is that this playoff series will not help them win more in the regular season. maybe it'll help them in the post season...MAYBE, but unless they play the same rocket team in the first round, its a different beast.

We need to win and win now, not "chalk this up for experience".

I don't think that the Blazers, nor Pritchard, nor even Nate, suck.

Portland lacks experience and this is a bad, bad matchup for them. Are people actually surprised that we didn't win in Houston? Really?

Yes. We're a better team than this.

Anyone else just absolutely hate Outlaw?! Seems he has more cold games then hot, and no matter what he shoots just about every god damn time!

Outlaw is 9-30-FG and 0-7-3ptFG for the first 3 games

Umm, seems like most everyone else hates him. The guy can't win. How many times has he been off or even so-so during most of the game only to catch fire in the 4th? And when he does hit the crucial shots to take the lead and/or win the game, people still bitch that it wasn't a good shot and that he shouldn't have taken it. Yeah, fuck him. It's all Trout's fault. Always.

If the refs were officiating this series evenly, we'd be up 3-1 right now. On top of all the bad calls today, they gave Scola 2 points when the shot clock was expired. There's the game right there.

Not to say we've been playing our best ball. We gave up 16 offensive rebounds today, and the Rockets probably scored like 45 points off them, because they seemed to drain a 3 at the last second off of every god damn offensive rebound. We held them under 40% from the field and lost, that should never happen to a team that is supposed to be the #1 rebounding team in the league.

But despite all that, we've played well enough to win if the NBA didn't favor the Rockets.

I told my girlfriend tonight during the game that Outlaw is the one player I would like to see traded in the offseason. The TNT announcers were raving about him, but they don't watch him play every night like we do. He cam always be counted on to make a boneheaded play at a crucial time. I get nervous just watching him with the ball in his hands. I've felt that way for 6 years, and I'm tired of it.

I love seeing the ball in Roy's hands, however . . .

I am glad I wasn't around any internet message boards after game 7 in 2000.

I don't think that everyone hates Outlaw... it's just extremely difficult to come in and remind people how many games he has helped us win.

Outlaw is a pretty good player, but he's playing very poorly and the team is on the verge of elimination... why would anyone stick their neck out on the board to defend him at this point in time?
