Bayless said he hardly took a break after the season before diving into off-season workouts.

“Jerryd has always been a hard worker,” Portland coach Nate McMillan said. “He has been in Columbus (Ohio) working out with Greg (Oden), and he has also worked out hard in Phoenix and Portland. He has been waiting for this opportunity. Now it’s here for him.”

Jesus, I don't know what to believe at this point, the amount of misdirection and bullshit I've heard about and read in the past couple of weeks would make a lawyer blush.

Is anybody else feeling like everything that's happened from draft night onward is like a scene right out of the twilight zone? What the fuck is going on around here?

...it's that NW allergen-filled air [just ask Oden] :dunno:

It is my opinion that Bayless's internal clock is so fast that he can traverse the multiverse in a way that mere mortals can not - so while Bayless of one universe has been to Ohio State, the other has been - and we are getting conflicting reports because they change universes so easily and frequently - that we do not always get the same one.

This also explains the multitude of expressions that Bayless displays.

Bayless really is, the tragic, eternal hero. In some universes he is known as Elric Of Melnibone, in others - simply Bayless.

"Jacques de Molay, thou art avenged!"

I support the multiverse theory as well, as it is the only reasonable explanation for the conflicting reports.

I told you, Bayless has a twin:

Jiered Bayless.

So what is Jerryd a force for Law, Chaos or the Balance?

Bayless is just doing his best Ron Ron impression, trying to make us all think he's crazy. Bay Bay will be a stone cold assassin on the court.

This book, or rather its author, has inspired me to adopt his last name...

what did andalusian say that had to do with a 700 year dead head of the Knights Templar?

Nothing directly, but his absurdist sci-fi commentary made me think of The Illuminatus! trilogy, in which de Molday's death is continually avenged through time.

Well done......I had to google both references in order to understand what the hell you two were talking about.

I started to read the Illuminatus trilogy, but couldn't stay with it. Jacque however, I know for other reasons.

He's an interesting character in history.

Interesting de Molay trivia: the reason "Friday the 13th" is regarded as unlucky is because, according to a legend, de Molay was burned at the stake on a Friday the 13th and cursed the day of his death as he died.

I think it is more of a cursed day in the minds of Masons more then anything. I've seen it have a definite harmful effect on at least one Mason I know.
