● Portland leads the NBA in wins during the 2nd game of a back-to-back (8-2)

● Portland holds the 2nd best road record in the NBA (13-5)

● Portland is 5th in the NBA (27-9) and 3rd in the Western Conference

● The current team is literally tied in OffRtg and DefRtg with the 2008-09 Blazer team (54 win team), with a 2.9 better OffRtg relative to the rest of the league, and an increased pace of 8.5 possessions per 48 min than that team.

● Batum notched his fourth career triple-double and second of the season. He joins Boston's Rajon Rondo (five), Oklahoma City's Kevin Durant and Miami's LeBron James (four apiece) as the only players with as many as four triple-doubles over the past two seasons.

● Lillard poured in career high 41 points (vs SAc 1/7/14)

● Batum set a career high 14 assists (vs Orlando 1/8/14), and is averaging a career high in Assists Per Game for the season, 2nd only to LeBron for front court players, and has already matched his season high of 4 games of double digit assists, set last last season

● Batum, Matthews, LA, Lopez, and Lillard are all averaging career highs in Rebounds Per Game, with Lopez also a career high in OffReb per game and 4th in the entire NBA (4.0 OffRPG)

● Lopez surpassed his previous career high in Rebounds in a single game 5 times this season, while setting his new career high of 16 rebounds vs Chi (who was among the best rebounding teams in the NBA at the time)

● Matthews set a new career high in Rebounds in a single game with 12 @ Den

● Batum tied his career high in Rebounds in a single game with 13 @ Phx

● LaMarcus Aldridge Blazer franchise records set this season:
- 4th in points: 10,151 & on pace to pass Cliff Robinson (10,405) in 11 games
- 2nd in FGM: 4,167 & on pace to pass Terry Porter (8,506) in FGA in 2 games
- 7th in FTM: 1,796 - passed Geoff Petrie (1792) & on pace to pass Jim Paxton (1800) next game
- 6th in Rebounds: 4,337 - passed Sydney Wicks (4,086), on pace to pass Rasheed Wallace (5th) in DefReb & Mychal Thompson (4th) in OffReb
- 7th in Blocks: 559 - passed Bill Walton (533) and on pace to pass Clyde Drexler (594) in 35 games

● Batum (577) and Matthews (546) are solidly in 3rd and 4th place in Blazer franchise 3PM

● Batum is on pace to hit 6th on the Blazer franchise leader board in 3PM in a single season (162)

● Matthews is on pace to hit 1st on 3PM in a single season (215)

● Lillard is on pace to trump Wes at 1st on 3PM in a single season (272)

● Lopez has already set a career high for double-doubles (PTS/REB) in a season (13), on pace for 30

● LA is on pace to set a career high for double-doubles (current 20) with 46, with his previous high 38

● LA is on pace to average a career high 10.9 RPG, 23.7 PPG, 2.9 APG, and career low 2 Personal Fouls per game

● Lillard is on pace to average a career high 21.6 PPG

● Portland set a Blazer franchise record (twice - @ Philly Dec 12, Cha Jan 2nd) for 3PM in a single game (21), and set an NBA record in the process for games in a single season with 20 or more 3PM (2)

● Portland set an NBA record the highest 3P% (73.9%) in a single game with at least 15 attempts (Utah Dec 6th)

Feel free to add any other cool stats about this season. It's definitely one we'll look back on and wish we'd spent a bit more time soaking it all in.

One of the BIG keys to our success that I noted in the "The Lopez effect" and "Rebounding Concerns" threads. Our defensive rebounding limits our opponents possessions and as a jump shooting team, our offensive rebounding helps us score even when the jump shots aren't falling.

Wow, so Aldridge is going to make 4340 field goals over the next two games. He's going to set some pretty significant NBA records, not just team records, if he does.

I harped on this on Homers Edge with several others thru pre-season and beyond, and was rebuffed by the "expert" Dungeons and Dragons contributors there. I'm right there with you. The offensive rebounding ability of Lopez was blown off, as was his impact on LA, let alone the entire starting unit. The O boards are so huge, and it is really quite dumb-founding how obnoxious the D&D Dave Deckards were about not acknowledging the vastly improved rebounding prowess with just the Lopez addition.

FGA
4. Terry Porter 8506
5. LaMarcus Aldridge 8481

The first number is FGM, the 2nd is FGA (reading is fundamental ;) )

My bad, thought they were comparing FGM for both players since they were on the same line. OK, got to go find my 12-sided die...

Loss to Heat 1 point
Loss to Pelicans 2 points
Loss to 76ers 2 points

No, but it's a good point. I don't even know what I was looking at now. I'll fix it. thx. I know they are 9-7 in close games so I have no idea what I was looking at. Busy doing other stuff and probably was looking at a different year even.

The Blazers have out rebounded opponents by 130 rebounds on the season, 1676 to 1546. Thats 3.6 extra boards per game.

Didn't Ben Goliver post this yesterday?

You tell me "Mr. Insider". ;) I don't read stuff from people that Stotts laughs openly at when they ask post game interview questions.

Definitely one heck of and entertainment system if it were not. Nevertheless, Fabreeze it is. lol

John, in the picture it seems you & your clone are emerging from dueling porta potties and both not standing up so good. Yet y'all look happy and very pointy. Is this a frozen work position that the two of you're stuck in or some sort of #2 pose/victory dance?

He didn't say 3 points or less. He said 3 points. So we've won 13 games by exactly 3 points? I actually believe that.

This is just a fine thread BF! Thank you for posting it. This Blazer squad is truly a place for players to have career years. Just like JJ did last season, I think Robin will surpass most expectations by playoff time. He just keeps getting better. I have become a complete Terry Stotts fan this season. This guy puts a great brand of basketball on the court

There's lots of fun stats out there I'm sure I miss. Dame with a career high 41 points for instance. oops Updated.

I think we shot 48% from 3 against Boston tonight, that's pretty darned good! So few fans see the beauty of the team as one great single entity instead of a bunch of parts. The sum is greater in this case for sure.

I just want the defense to be top 12. That's what will really make us tough to beat.
