Ford initiates worldwide recall of 500,000 of its Escape SUVs

Car company Ford is being forced to recall 485,000 vehicles in order to alter gas pedals which have been the cause of one death and nine injuries
It covers Ford Escape SUVs from the 2001-2004 model years in order to remedy sticking gas pedals that can cause crashes.

The worldwide recall comes just over a week after U.S. safety regulators began investigating the models which are powered by 3-liter V-6 engines with cruise control after receiving 68 complaints about the gas pedal problem.

Their recalls are only a sign of corporate responsibility, and their European difficulties are a temporary blip on their stock valuation but nothing long term.
