With <div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">preseason over, ESPN's Chad Ford has broken down the 2006 rookie class into the good, the bad, the ugly, the solid and the sleepers. Marcus Williams, who led all rookies in preseason scoring (16.0 ppg) and playmaking (7.0 apg), is in the top five, with Brandon Roy, Rudy Gay, Rajon Rondo and Tyrus Thomas. Ford also says that several teams, most notably the Kings, may wish they had taken him on Draft Night.</div>

he was a real steal, during the draft i thought we shuold of took rondo because i knew rondos game and everyone was saying taht williams was out of shape and it seemed that he has a bad rep with his suspensions at uconn, but williams showed me either way we are ok cause both are playing at a high level

One of the best steals of all time depending on his future. So far he looks great and his game really reminds me of Kidd's. Having Jason Kidd as his mentor in gonna be great and take his game to a whole new level.

Nets Marveling about Marcus

<div class="quote_poster">Quote:</div><div class="quote_post">It's just starting to really sink in: just how good this kid is...and can be. Marcus Williams, writes Dave D'Alessandro, is one of the Nets' five best players and has now twice outplayed Stephon Marbury, Friday's performance a textbook case. Yes, he doesn't play as good defense as the Nets would like, and yes, he isn't Jason Kidd, but what he is something very, very special. </div>
