It's not about jumping off the wagon, its about being objective and not a homer. This team played a hell of a game tonight, arguably their best all playoffs, and yet came up short. The Kings didnt look rattled at all the entire game, in fact they just seemed to gain confidence the longer it went.

I love my Rangers but they are out matched, even with quick having to subpar games they havent gotten it done period. I want to believe but they just dont have the IT factor.

Struds is what he is, so no need to comment on that. But I think guys like Mess and I are just being honest. Yes we'll watch, and yes we'll hope, but if we are being honest and not just Ranger fans who no matter what will say we will win we will win, then it is going to be VERY difficult to see us winning this series still. Again I just view that as honest.

Same team that all season everyone said we stink at home, now we need to win both home games for sure. And then STILL win 2 of 3 from the Kings on top of that. And maybe a game 7 in LA. Not easy and heavy odds against us now. That's just being real.

I agree and disagree Lundy. I agree this is called being objective and not just saying the Rangers will win because we are fans.

I disagree that we look out matched. I don't see that outside of the 3rd period in game 1. Take that period away and worst case we have been even, and truthfully I actually give us an edge. Which makes being down 2-0 even worse IMO.

Hank will throw a shutout on Monday and some will start to rethink of what teams can and cant do. Outside of 3rd period in game 1 this team has gone toe to toe and perhaps slightly better.. shitty ice and a fall by girardi and game 1 is over. Debateable game changing goal in game two. We could easily be up 2 games instead of down. Now get back home. Energy in the building...things can change.

Some thought we were down and out against ottawa...some were down and out after game 6 vs philly. Most walked after game 4 vs pens. Some worried after game 4 vs montreal....this team has heart. Dont give up on them because they wont give up on us.

I'm being objective as well. If the Rangers had been badly outplayed, then I'd agree that it's probably over, but that's not the case. They weren't outplayed, and pretty much gave away games 1 and 2; now they head back to the Garden with a chip on there shoulder ... should make for an interesting game 3.

But if one is truly being objective, they must admit we are in a very large hole, and the %'s are very much stacked against us. That is the reality of the situation. No doubt about it. But this is why they play the games. What a4e the odds that a team wins 3 road 7th games to get to the finals? So shit can and does happen.
We have not been terribly outplayed.

That's why they play the games...I agree. All we can do is watch, take one game at a time, and hope we can make game 4 matter.

We lost last night because that crooked bum O'Hallaran missed an easy interference call right in his face. Carter should have received a double minor for slashing/interference as well but the Rangers PP was asleep by then. I can't understand why you would quit on a team with a week left in the season but then again aside from a few like myself most posters thought this team had no chance of even making the playoffs.
