Probably to an extent. Insofar as both are a little undersized and neither can defend his position.

Yeah, I was thinking more a player who excelled on a bad team, was their best player, then comes here and is exposed as a mediocre starter or worse.

No. I don't think that describes Love at all. The Wolves aren't "great" but I would probably call them a "decent to good" team this year and that's almost entirely because of Love and Rubio. Secondly it's a flawed comparison in terms of their productivity. Damon had around a 17 PER when he came to Portland and got to be the man right off the bat in Toronto. Love was kind of underutilized his first year, but still managed to put up a 20 PER by his second season, and it only got better with a jump from 25ish minutes per game to 35 minutes per game.

Love is by far the superior talent.

sorry nic i really dropped the ball on this one. i think he would have been interesting next to LA, not sure they would have been the best fit but it would have been fun to watch. minny may have overpaid a little but overall i think it's a signing they had to make.
