I remember him from the old Seattle SuperSonics team that won a championship. Jack Sikma and Gus Williams were the stars, but Johnson was a starter and key player.

JJ and the Cavs came into the league the same year as Portland and Petrie. Johnson was picked one spot ahead of Petrie. We played Cleveland a lot back then and JJ torched us plenty. He was a great addition to the Blazers and I hated it when they traded him. God bless him.

Cavaliers first pick ever I think Cavs took Johnson, Portland took Petrie. They were both pretty good, both starting for Portland in 1973 I think.
But they had to put up with big dick Wicks, a true star in his mind and that limited the team.
