Terrible news

Hopefully he pulls through but it doesn’t look good.

he’s the longest serving prime minister in Japans history. Who did he piss off?
 
This seems like really big news but for the life of me I can't remember anything about this guy.

I hope he pulls through. We need more stability in the world, it less. And even an ex prime minister is big news.

Unconfirmed officially but reports are he has died.
 
Japan has an election this Sunday. I wonder if or how this will affect that

The shooter, 40 year old Tetsuya Yamagami is a former member of Japan's Maritime Self Defense Force. His gun was confirmed to be homemade and likely 3D printed.
 
Investigators believe the shooters motives were not political. Apparently, he plotted and carried out the assassination because he thought Abe was connected to an unnamed organization that he had a grudge against.
 
It’s so weird when you have an experience with a location or culture and you have it set in stone how it is…. My almost month long time in Japan last summer. I left there with such an amazing impression of the people. Of course I know there in crime there, but this is WOW! Never have I been surrounded with such kind, caring people.

A big problem with the Japanese is that they have so many rules, people kind of build up craziness. The porn for example, they blur out private parts, but then you can buy a schoolgirl's panties in a vending machine. Its kinda strange. Nice people, you can leave anything unlocked and chances are nothing will be stolen.

But yeah, they had a tokyo gas attack a while back, yakuza is real, and they are super racist.
