France game starting now. They lost to Canada twice in the friendlies, but FRA is rolling now in the tournament.

Spain playing at 11.

All on NBA tv/ ESPN3/ atdhe.net

Nic starting at SF this game. Gelabale is starting at SG instead. I expect him to perform better.

Nic beasted that first quarter. 7pts/6rebs/1stl in 10mins.

He should have a block and another steal in there too. Nice dunk by him already, hoping he keeps the scoring up because the French seem a little stagnant on the offensive end.

De Colo is annoying. He thinks he's way better than he actually is. Chucking up some stupid shots.

Colo hit his first three and seems to think he can now pass up open teammates for bad three attempts.

The announcer actually used the word "apoplectic" in a basketball game.

Guess his name is Bokolo. Been saying it wrong all this time lol.

GG to me Bokolo is the point gaurd off the bench lol. Who is the big white guy who looks confused for French half the time?

There are two of em: Yannick Bokolo and Nando De Colo (white dude whose rights are owned by SA)
Okay. Liking Bokolo ability to penetrate and get contact. De Colo just looks confused half the time.

Nic destroyin defenders. I think that dude he just blew by is going to Gonzaga next year.

Nic with 22.

Oooh! Clutch drive and score by Nic to tie it at 52. Don't tell me he can't create for himself. Man can step up when his team needs him.

Nic showing a much better first step. I love that he's calling for the ball on every possession.

Batum with a hell of a game. 24 points.

France, the first team from group D to advance. Unbelievable.

Final line: 24pts (8/14 FG, 3/7 3pt), 7rebs, 3 stls, 2 to in about 35 mins.

Batum is the greatest of all time. I can't wait to see him play against Doornekamp and Levon Kendall next year in the NBA. Those guys are awesome.

In all seriousness, I'm glad he had a good game, but try to keep it in perspective. Batum is my favorite player, by far, but some on here over value him too much

Let's get to what will help him next year though. How did his stand in the corner and take 3's as the shot clock runs down shot look?

Only watched the fourth quarter, but Batum looked like he was really balling out there. He was taking guys off the dribble, passing, hitting perimeter shots, getting steals. Seemed like the Canadians were trying to avoid his defense. Just a really nice game. I'd love to see the highlights.

Rudy getting some love in the ESP/LTU game. midway through the 3rd, he has 13 of their 52, and is playing with a lot of energy.

Wow. Kleiza!

Gasol @ the FT line with 19 secs left, trying to tie it.

HE CHOKES! MISSES 2!

I've been giving updates in the office. To quote my (female) Spanish co-worker: "Leave my team alone; leave my country alone; and leave my Rudy alone!!"

Go Lithuania!!

LTU chose to foul to prevent a three. I think they started this too early. Still 12 secs on the clock.

6 secs to try to tie it. Stolen! game over. Horrible play by Navarro. Spain goes down again!

wow.

Spain outscored 23-9 in the fourth. Rudy finished with 13 pts and 9 rebs

Rudy shot well and led his team in rebounds but was involved in three crucial turnovers that turned the tide for Lithuania.

13 pts in the first 23 min. Nothing in the final 17 min.
Spain was up 61-43 with 4min left in the 3rd, and was outscored 33-12 from that point.

what are you talking about? No one in this thread is saying he's the greatest ever or even comparing him to anyone else... posters are just relaying he had a good game vs Canada. In a thread titled France vs Canada, why would you think you're the only one aware of this?

in the 3 games I've seen his stats, about 1/2 his shots are 3 point attempts which is even a higher percentage of 3's then he takes in PDX. In this game he connected 3 times on 7 attempts.
