Francis: I'll Assist Marbury

Francis revealed last night that he plans to speak to Marbury about rediscovering his game because, as Francis put it, "We need him to be aggressive offensively for us to win.

"He's trying to fit in too much," Francis said following Cleveland 102-96 victory. "I've been in that situation. He's trying to overdo it. Over fit in. Can I say that? You want to help your teammates but then again you got to do what you do. He's kind of going away from it so I'm going to have a talk with him. He's got to be more aggressive."

Marbury went 0-for-6 with seven assists and two points against the Cavs. He also missed a wide-open three-pointer with 1:09 left that would have tied the game. When the shot rattled out, the crowd booed.

"The fans are tough on him," Francis said. "That's kind of hard to deal with, I bet. I just need him to be more aggressive."</div>

Too Many Guards. Just too many people who hoist up shots. And If your gonna talk to a man do it before you talk to the Media. Who the heck is Steve to give Shep any advice? LOL! I'm glad the bulls have a shot at the NY pick this year because it looks like they could have a top 5 pick again.

Francis averages 6 shots per game and Marbury averages only 10 shots. They aren't "hoisting up shots". In fact, both of them, 20 point scorers throughout their careers, haven't really been looking for their offense at all. All Francis is trying to say is Marbury is being too passive or unselfish and should be more aggressive because he still is our most efficient source of offense, even though he's been struggling from the field. I don't think the Knicks have too many guards. They have three point guards, and two shooting guards. The Knicks' main problems have been on the defensive end.
