The later. No players with skills in the low post, not enough shooters, and not enough tough defensive minded players.

The later. No players with skills in the low post, not enough shooters, and not enough tough defensive minded players.

Is it just me, or does anyone else miss Collins? Despite his offensive deficiencies, I think we all saw how much this team misses an experienced, smart, and willing post defensive player that also directed the whole team's offense. He played great defense on his man, but also instructed the rest of the team on where to be, and was a defensive role model.

I'm not asking the Nets to bring him back and play him 35 min/game, but I think getting a player like that, someone who loves and breathes defense, and makes playing it infectious. He doesn't have to be a post player, although that would be probably be better, and should be someone who you can play at least 30 min a night without worrying about giving up too much in other areas of the game.

How good is Brand's defense? How about bringing in someone like Shawn Marion?

I don't think he bought into what Frank was saying which means not many players would follow. Jason Kidd wasn't an X and O type guy.

This is somewhat familiar to me, being a Dallas Cowboys fan. Parcells was a great coach, but despite all his talents the personel weren't composed of the type of people to deal with his coaching style. Ergo Wade Phillips is brought in, a "player's coach" and it's the right fit.

Until the end of the season, which was a couple days ago.

From here on out, no excuses. It'll all be on the guys we have starting from day 1 next season.

cartwright was never a dominant big man. we need someone to instill that killer personality in our bigs. None of them have it at all!!!

this coaching staff is terrible.

the head coach really needs to go but thorn is too stubborn to admit his mistakes.

mark jackson or mario elie should be here next season. no more of these recycled trash coaches getting another chance please. new blood!

Wasn't he playing on a different team for the last 30 or so games of the season? What were the Nets doing while he was in Dallas? I realize he didn't help the Nets out all that much, but they still had a chance to come together as a team once he was gone, and they didn't exactly set the rest of the league on fire. My guess would be that if he was such a burden, they would perform a lot better once he was gone, right?

I saw somewhere that Buck wanted to get into the league office. Not sure if he want's to be a coach. I like the idea of him teaching our bigs.
