I'm gonna be a homer and say that the 3 marquee pitchers go to the Cubs, and the 3 marquee position players go to the North Side as well, but I know it won't happen

^^maybe because hes from Seattle, wanted to play there a few years ago when the Giants resigned him, and the only reason he didnt go to the M's was because the Giants offered him one more year on the contract. He has REPEATEDLY said he wants to play for the Mariners, and that is one reason why the M's dropped out of the race immediately for Daisuke Matsuzaka, to focus on a more proven pitcher in Jason Schmidt. iknobaer got the Jason Schmidt one exactly right. Schmidt = Washington native, who loves the West Coast, and has repeatably implied that he wants to stay on the West Coast. The Mariners dropped out of the Matsuzaka race and are looking to sign him instead. Match made in heaven. As for thinking that everybody is going to come down to a bidding war between the Giants and the Angels. Good luck. Id hate to break it to you but theres 28 other teams in baseball that want big name players too. :whistling:

Fact of the matter is, Angels are pursuing everyone, and are a huge market team so they have a shitload of money, and the Giants dropped $60million in payroll this off-season. I'd have to say a few of those big name guys will come down to Giants and Angels, Matthews Jr., Aramis Ramirez, Carlos Lee, etc.

They arent getting any younger. I know they are future hall of famers but its time for the young guys to step up the plate to pitch. Tom Glavine. I say re-sign him because he looked good. I know he's old and that but i dont think his time is up. Frank Thomas. I still see him playing for the A's next season. He had a remarkable season, probably will win comeback player of the year since he played his tails off.Nomar Garciaparra. Didn't the Dodgers just signed him last offseason? Dont really remember but i dont have a clue where he will go. If the Dodgers dont re-sign him then they wont be a good team next yearJim Edmonds. Cardinals should try to re-sign him, make him play with them for the rest of his career because he such a good guy, i always liked him, we'll see.
