The best thing about it is that its even more applicable in the offseason.

nice. The WS reference doesn't really bother me.
The one I really want is the one I've seen with Lincecum's face holding joints and it says Tim Weedecum at the bottom.
BTW, when I was in high school we traveled to Bellevue to play Liberty high school where Lincecum went, he was 2 years older than me and I floated between JV and Varsity that year, fortunately for us, Lincecum didn't pitch that day.

ATTN everyone who picked Texas or Philly: Lick my orange and black ballsack.
G-Men have done what none of my other teams have in my lifetime- win a championship. Of all the World Series teams they've fielded this one feels far and away the least talented. Yes, their pitching is fuggin excellent and to this godamn minute I'm still reading ESPN spew articles about how Rangers' bats failed them (like I read about the Phils a week ago). This pitching staff is nutso. At the beginning of the season everyone in SF was drinkign the pitching kool aid thinking we had the best staff in the MLB. But the season showed that there are quite a few teams out there with stacked pitching. I don't blame anyone for thinking otherwise and I myself would have agreed before September that the G's staff was good but not the best. Now they've proven they're in a league of their own. Lincecum beat Derek Lowe, Roy Halladay, and Cliff Lee twice. Matt Cain had a playoff ERA of 0.00. Sanchez was shit most of the time but he was balling coming in (lol). Madison Bumgerner somehow got better into the late months even though his velocity was in the mid-80s in spring training and everyone thought our next pitching gem was toast. Fuck Barry Zito (can't resist).
This team is just nails. They're ugly as shit and I'm due for a heart attack by age 23 because of this season but they just don't go down. They have a knack for beating the best around. Leaving out the regular season, where they beat a lot of aces, they beat Derek Lowe, Tim Hudson, Derek Lowe, Roy Halladay, Cole Hammels, Blanton/Roy Oswalt, Roy Oswalt, Cliff Lee, CJ Wilson, Tommy Hunter, Cliff Lee in that order. I don't have the numbers in front of me but we completely shut down Utley, Ryan Howard, Josh Hamilton, and Vlad Guerro- almost no production out of the Phils and rangers 3 and 4 hitters. They beat two teams who it seemed everyone thought unanimously had the better starting pitching and juggernaut offensive units. Even now its surprising just to look back and see the talent disparity between the G's and these guys. But we just smothered them. They couldn't do anything and we did just enough to win. Hell a 4-1 World Series win is pretty dominant. The G's dominated the Rangers. And this is a team where outside of Lincecum there really are no stars and no single person who carried the team. Even Lincecum didn't carry the team until the postseason but you could make the argument that Cain could have/did/would have done as good or better given the same opportunity.
At this point I've completely lost my train of thought and don't know if I even had a point to begin ith. I'm fuggin proud though after seeing the Warriors, Raiders, Sharks, Cal Bears, and Giants of old stink the joint up and disappoint when it matters. This Giants team was truly something to be proud of. They had no stars. Every last man on that roster has been responsible for winning us a game at some point. On paper they're good but not that good. But they proved that they'll beat anyone and they're even better when playing for all the marbles.
Fuck the dodgers.

Either you have a short life or a limited number of favorite teams. But congrats from an East Bay Blazers & A's fan. I could NOT root for a team built around Barry Steroidsnob Bonds, but these guys seem OK. Irritated by Fox Sports stressing over and over the "San Francisco is weird" meme. You know, not like real America where no one smokes pot, men are men and women are not Speaker of the House.

Yeah I'm 20 years old. Watched the 02 WS against the Angels and the Raiders get whooped by Tampa Bay in the Super Bowl but thats it for championships in my time. The San Jose Sabercats (Arena League football) were a dynasty though lol.

I've been lucky enough to see my team(s) win 6 championships, but the 2001 Patriots was the first one.. and was by far the best. It was very similar to this years Giants, too, because nobody gave 'em a shot.

No doubt. Warriors are lucky the Clippers exist to take the spotlight off of them as shittiest franchise around. As long as Al Davis is alive the Raiders aren't doing anything.
