2006-07 Regular Season StatsTJ Ford- 14.0 PPG 7.9 APG Jason Kidd- 13.0 PPG 8.2 RPG 9.2 APG The quick TJ Ford today faces the future HOF Jason Kidd in game 1 of this series. Ford needs to keep Kidd out of the paint and create problems for him in the passing line. Jason might not score alot, but he gets his share of rebounds and assists. He also has excellent court vision. Look for TJ Ford to push the ball up the court alot and beat Kidd with his quickness. Vinsanity vs. AP 

2006-07 Regular Season StatsAnthony Parker- 12.4 PPG 44% 3PFGVince Carter- 25.2 PPG 6 RPG 4.8 APGVince looks to get some revenge on his old team for treating him like a piece of road kill, likewise for Raptor fans. Toronto's best defender Anthony Parker looks to try and keep a hold of triple double Vince tonight. He looks to try and keep him on his heels and not let him shoot, and not let him penetrate and dish it to the big man. Anthony Parker should take advantage of the fact the Vince Carter is not a good perimeter defender around the 3 point line and the key. CB4 and Mike the Mad Man

The more athletic and dominant Bosh looks to really take advantage of this matchup. Look for Bosh to really penetrate at the bucket and take advantage of the Nets front court. Look for Mikki Moore to post up and kick the ball out. The key is for Bosh to shut down his offensive game, outside of that, the Nets have no frontcourt. Starting off the Bench

Expect Bargnani to be a bit rusty after coming back from his appendectomy, so look for him to really work on offense. As usual Nachbar will be working in his office and will keep Bargnani on the perimeter. Bargnani should also penetrate to keep Nachbar on his feet. I think he is the only one eithier than AP and Morris Peterson that can handle him. Juan Dixon needs to get his shot going as well, and dish it out to Bosh and our other frontcourt players. Both teams have played really well at home, and the Raptors look to take advantage of that with homecourt. Expect fans to boo the hell out of Vince Carter, and not make the ACC a pleasant place for the Nets. The key is to contain the Big Three, and tire out Jason Kidd. I think the Raptors will win this one, but playoff-less experience could pay a toll here. The winner of Game 1 takes a real command on this series. I don't think Toronto will win in 5... I'd say more like 6... Or I wouldn't be surprised if it went 7 even... Hopefully the Raptors can beat the F*ck outta that prick Carter and his sh*t Nets team (Kidd needs to get outta NJ in the off-season).

I want the Raptors to win, and I believe in my heart they will, but Jason Kidd has been an absolute master as of late, having one of his best if not his best season. I expect many though, close, and entertaining games.

Okay, this series will be close no doubt. Mikki Moore will have his hands very full with Bosh and the entire Raptors squad will have to do everything they can to attempt to slow down New Jersey's unstopabble trio. The key to this series is who wins this first game. Whoever gets out early I believe will win the series.

I can't wait to hear the crowd tommorow when VC comes back to Toronto.

I believe in terms of offense we only have to stop Carter and Jefferson, which is still a handful, but I believ e Anthony Parker, Joey Graham, and Juan Dixon can handle them but not lock them down. It'll be close.

I got NJ in 7. They are FINALLY playing well together, and the very good new pieces they got in the offseason are finally starting to mesh (Moore, Nachbar, Boone, Williams, etc...). I like NJ's experience, defense, and 3 all stars in this series.

If we can slow down Vince for most of the series, I believe we have this....Jason Kidd will do his thing....we can't stop that...But whenever we slow down Vince, we usually dominate this team. We have a much better bench, better chemistry....we just need to play in sync offensively, and we'll be alright....Because of the Big 3, I think this will go 6....but I think we will take the series.

1st quarter done, Jason kidd and Jefferson are killing us. He is literally abusing TJ in the post. Its really hard to gaurd a point gaurd in the post.

I just tuned in. It seems that the Raptors are playing a bit nervous and VC is killing them when he drives and kicks it out. Seems like a good game thatw ill go down to the end.

NJ has played awesome. I have watched 50-60 Nets games this season, and they have come out with far more energy, ball movement, and willingness to not settle than in any game this season. It has been beautiful to watch.Kidd, Nachbar and jefferson have been incredible.

Raptors are on a 9-2 run. I said to myself at the beginning of the game and I was wondering how the Nets were beating us and we were leading in almost every category. I then looked at the assists when we were down by 10. 16-5 for New Jersey. Raptors then go on a 9-2 run. I look at the assists again, 16-9.

Bosh in foul trouble is really hurting Toronto right now. New Jersey just ended the quarter on a 7-0 run and have a 10pt lead at half time. Pretty good game, but nothing amazing happening.. yet. I can honestly see the Nets running away with this one soon if Bosh doesn't get in and get going.

Nets are controlling the game right now. The big three for New Jersey is making a matchup nightmare for Toronto. Bosh in foul trouble is slowing down the Raps offense tremendousely and the Raps have had a very streaky performance so far. The in-experience for Toronto is showing.

What a first half for New Jersey. Jason Kidd has been absolutely phenomenal, the man is an unbelievable basketball player. He's finding everybody, pushing the ball, and hitting all the open shooters and wings on the break. I know he has done this every game for his entire career, but 10 or 11 assists at halftime? Christ. RJ has been great as well, obviously. Apparently his ankle is feeling fine, because he's throwing down reverse dunks like nothing and running the break very well. Vince needs to get something going in the 2nd half if they want to hold on to the lead.

T.J. Ford had an outstanding 1st quarter, wow. His blazing speed was too much for New Jersey and he was really stroking that 12 foot jumper. He cooled off in the 2nd quarter, but hopefully he can get something going again. Having Bosh out of the lineup killed Toronto, the Nets took over from there.

It's only a 10 point game, it's anybody's ballgame, I hope Toronto has a better 2nd half. However, I expect Vince to get something going at some point. We'll see.

On a side note:

at Mike Tereko for calling Vince Carter "Vinsane." It's "Vinsanity" you dope, it's amazing how many of these guys honestly don't know the little things like this.

Toronto now has one last chance to make a run in the 4th. I don't think they're going to pull it out, seeing as the jumpshot has been painfully inconsistent and Chris Bosh has been getting minuscule touches.
