Lord only knows how these cluster fucks will play defense tonight.

Panarin has been awful. He rewards him with more ice time. No accountability continues. Hopefully lavshmuck and Drumoron get fired after this season.

Edmonton with 21 shots on goal in the first period. Defense sucks and forwards do t backcheck which is a bad combination . Going to bed. Not staying up all night to watch this shit!

Need to do something soon or they're going to be chasing a playoff spot all year.

It's unreal how much Chytil is missed. Trouchek has sucked ass this season. Zibanadouche has sucked.

Same players but it’s the coaches fault lmao. Fire every coach every two years. Great system.

It's both. Plus they hire the wrong coaches always. They hire two year shelf retreat coaches. Player changes need to happen as well, absolutely.

Well said. It's like we live in Deja Vu land. It's not the coaches (again plural), it's the in over his head Pres/GM that puts the team together. God could coach this stale core that needed to be broken up and it wouldn't be a different result. The players aren't good enough, and they need major core changes. That was so obviously clear to just about everyone outside of a few guys in here, and Chris Drury.

A high % of the players are lazy and soft, don't play hard, don't backcheck, and don't play with any discipline in their own zone. It was that way under Gallant, and no surprise, the same core is that way under Lav...shocker.

What has Drury really done here outside of sign Trocheck, which was a good move? Essentially all he has done is operate a conveyer belt of trade DL acquisitions, never the really big fish, who walk out the door in the summer. He has done nothing to improve this team since he has been in charge, and that's a sad reality. Until he goes the team will not win, he doesn't have the balls to make the needed major core changes, and he's in over his head.

I’ve been trying to tell people here for two years if they don’t build around the young guys this team will never win a cup. The veteran core from day one this year has looked old

I'll say again, the Rangers should absolutely be sellers this season. They are not a legit Cup contender with this lazy, soft, stale core. Move any of the vets you can and try and build a winner for next season. I don't expect Drury to have the balls do it or be able to pull it off even if he does sell, but that should 100% be the mindset.

Outside of Lafreniere, Cuylle, Schneider, and maybe Trocheck I would say any other player currently on the team is available for the right price (those of whom you can trade given NTC's/NMC's).

There is not much Drury can do with the guys that have NTCs unless they want to go. I do find it funny that most on the board agree the team needs a shakeup but won't even consider trading Fox who has done little postseason. Instead we'll wait a year for his NTC to kick in then watch Adam make more low effort plays like the SHG by Nurse last night. There is not much any team can do to stop McDavid, he's ridiculous. The Rangers were in a similar rut last year around the same time when Trouba got them going.

I would consider trading fox for a haul in a minute. has a soft player, terrible skater, can't move anyone out of the crease and passes up shot after shot. Other guys I would consider moving and you can make life miserable enough for even the NTC to want to go and accept a trade like man and even panerin who while great in the regular season is a zero when it gets to the playoffs and things tighten up. Lindgren who is useless should be traded immediately and Mancini be up permanently. and as much as ill miss him IGOR should go for a package too as I'm not paying a goalie 12 mill no matter how good he is and not be able to put a decent team around him. The problem is I don't think Drury is the guy I want making trades or hiring any more coaches. Lavs coddling of the vets and not holding anyone accountable is gonna be his ticket out of here. We need bring in and bring up some faster and hungrier players and while were at it bring rempe back up here and play him 10 minutes a game. The kid plays hard and with an edge and is exactly what we need up here. This team will probably limp into the playoffs but if anyone thinks this team as currently constructed is going anywhere I have a bridge to sell you.

The group is stale and not as deep. Was my concern before the season even started. They need a trade if they can that’s more than moving an inconsequential player.

I have zero issue trading Fox for a major return. As I wrote, outside Lafreniere, Cuylle, Schneider, and maybe Trocheck I would be open to dealing any player for the right return. I would actually even be open to "taking a risk" in making a trade if I had no choice, because something needs to change as this core/team is not going anywhere as currently constructed, so why not take a smart risk/shot (that's where no balls Drury comes in though - so good luck).

It would shake things up, which is what this team needs unless Trouba can pull another helmet throwing motivational act out of his ass. The top dogs with the NTCs are too comfortable with getting pushed around and coming up short. I've thought the same thing about this team's construction Mel since the Tampa series which they were up 2-0 and had the lead in game 3 with multiple chances to put it away. GG had them so close but then the Bolts turned up the physicality and it was over. Tampa is another team that was full of flashy scoring regular season but unable to get it done until they signed goons like Maroon and grinders like Goodrow. Dallas has failed similarly, I don't know of any team that won the Cup without several physical players but I've watched dozens of Rangers squads think they could out quick and out finesse a slower but more physical defense oriented team and fail.

Drury has been terrible relating his intentions to players he wants to move whether it was Goodrow or Trouba they're both seasoned vets who deserved more respect. Wasting time with Jonny B when there are other prospects including Rempe sitting in Hartford kinda flies in the face of making the Rangers grittier.
