:reading: OFFICIAL BLAZERS GAME NOTES

• Thursday marks the second of four matchups between the Trail Blazers and Suns in 2014-15.

• Phoenix defeated Portland, 118-113 on Jan. 21 behind a career-high 33 points from Eric Bledsoe. In that game, Isaiah Thomas came off the bench to score 27 points for the Suns.

• Nicolas Batum scored a season-high 27 points in the fi rst game against Phoenix this season on 9-of-15 shooting (6-8 3-PT). He also hauled in 10 rebounds for what is his only double-double this season.

• In the first game between these two teams, Phoenix’s reserves outscored Portland’s bench, 54-13.

• LaMarcus Aldridge (left thumb injury) did not play in the first meeting against Phoenix. Aldridge has registered 12 straight games of double-digit scoring against the Suns.

• Phoenix won three of four games against Portland in 2013-14 and have taken the series in each of the past three seasons dating back to 2011-12.

• The Trail Blazers have won eight of their past 10 games against the Suns at home dating back to 2008-09.

HEAD-TO-HEAD HISTORY:
ALL TIME: Suns lead, 117-92
IN PORTLAND: Trail Blazers lead, 63-42
AT THE SUNS: Suns lead, 75-29

Ugh. I always go into PHX games with like "How the heck we gonna lose this one?"

Last year, man... lol.

I think we'll win, but this PHX team...

Perhaps this fact from the game notes will make you feel a little better: "The Trail Blazers have won eight of their past 10 games against the Suns at home dating back to 2008-09. "

:)

Its the ONLY thing. lol.

This game is sneaky important for multiple reasons.

1) We haven't had a quality win over a Western Conference foe in what seems like forever
2) After this home game, Portland heads on the road to play in Dallas and Houston
3) Phoenix has our number, plain and simple. It's time to show we can beat the Suns.

(Response to bolded) I'm trying not to think of that trip..

Dame finally shot over 40% last night (he shot over 50). Some of those 3pt shots needs to go down

Is there any way to find out the coaches' votes for All Star?

Had a feeling Snyder from the Jazz snubbed him. Think Hornacek from the Suns is another.

We should handle the frontcourt fine tonight. The backcourt matchups are where it will be won or lost imo.

This game is the end of the Suns curse! The Sun sets tonight!

The smart poll bet is on "Other"

We control the rebounds, we win the game

> Oh No..... The infamous Texas road trip.

Need to get back to being a top defensive team again, that solves most of our woes.

Dame averages 5.2 FTA per game, he shot 8 last time these two teams met. Going to set the over/under at 7.5 for tonight. What yall got?

I'll take the over.

Damn. I want our team healthy!! Meyers better step UP.
I think this is a good thing, Kaman has not played like himself for quite a stretch. Would rather have him rested and fresh going into post season.
