After succesfully avenging the Chirstmas day blowout loss against the Jazz on ESPN, it's now time for Portland to turn their attention to avenging an early-season loss against an Eastern Conference team. The Heat beat the Blazers in their first meeting this season in Miami, so this is another chance for Portland to dish out some good-old fashion payback and on national TV, no less.

Like the previous game against the Jazz, Portland will have ample time to rest and gameplan for their opponent. There will be 5 full days between the last game against the Jazz and this next game versus the Heat. The only concern about this is if it'll be too much rest for the Blazers. Will they come out rusty? Stotts said he is giving the players 3 full days off, so it will not be Sunday until they get back on court to practice.

Taking a quick look, the Heat appears to be just an average team. They are hovering around .500 right now, and are 5-5 in their last 10 games. They are 7th in the East, so nothing to write home about.

An interseting note is that Miami is one of those rare teams that have played better on the road than at home this season, so this game may not be as easy as it appears on the surface. And although Portland has basically a mini-vacation before this game, the Heat will have 2 full days off themselves (this will be game 1 of a 6-game road trip for Miami), so they won't be tired or road-weary coming into Portland.

The Blazers better be prepared for this game because Miami is bringing the Heat!

The streak is still going, correct?
Someone was saying the record is 55-games, right? If so, only 4 more games until Portland gets this...

The record is 53 games, achieved by the Mavs in the 93-94 season. So this game will be for the tie!

I go back and forth with it. Dame said it was his call on when to come out. I woulda agreed with the second choice if it were assists or points. With rebounds, the risk for injury just seems higher.

Which island is this? Love it!
This sir is Kauai. More pics to follow in the Random Picture Thread at the top of the OT page. Here with the FAMS until Feb 8th. Our house if right underneath the mountain from the first scene of Raiders of The Lost Ark. The HCP is livin that crazy Jurassic Park life son.

I figured as much. It has been a good 10 years since I have been there. Staying up in Princeville in October......can't wait. I love that island.

The @HCP made a whole thread claiming it was 55 by the Wizards. Explain yourself @HCP !
