Blazers and Grizzlies in 2016-17.

• Portland and Memphis split the season series last year (2-2), with each team winning a game on the other team’s home court.

• The Trail Blazers last won a season series against the Grizzlies in 2011-12 (2-1). Portland is 4-11 against Memphis since the start of the 2012-13 season.

• Portland’s 112-106 overtime victory at Memphis last season on Feb. 8 snapped a five-game road losing streak against the Grizzlies. The Trail Blazers are 2-6 in Memphis dating back to the 2011-12 season.

• The Trail Blazers, who won the final regular season game between these teams last season, haven’t won back-to-back games against the Grizzlies since winning three straight contests from April 12, 2011 to March 22, 2012.

• Damian Lillard averaged a team-high 22.0 points and dished out 6.0 assists in four games against Memphis last season. His 33 points scored in his most recent game against the grizzlies on Feb. 8 represents his highest scoring total in 15 career games vs. Memphis.

Chandler Parsons' return was bumped up from Tues to Sun and will play vs the Trail Blazers @Darkwebs

Interesting that Parsons chose to come back a little earlier than expected and against the other team that chased after him in free agency. Perhaps he wants to show the Blazers what they missed out on.

Here's hoping the Blazers murder the Grizzlies this afternoon and show him what he missed out on.

I'm thinking it will backfire and our guys are going to eat him alive and his shot is going to be off. Never good to rush things especially if emotions are involved. I expect him to come out trying to do too much and we better take advantage of it.
Im more concerned about whats gonna go on in the paint honestly. I am also expecting a big game from my boy!!!Snap your finger snap your neck!!!!

To be fair, he chose where to go... we didn't really have anything to do with that.

You're right. We did him no wrong. If anything, Turner should want to have a great game and prove to Parsons this team is better now without him. Basically Turner was the consolation prize, so I think he might have something to prove. Hmmm. We already know how he likes to force things. I hope he just forces it on the defensive end.

This bodes a good question now that we have seen a bit of our team. Are we still better off without Parsons and the inflated contract?

I think so. The additional money wasn't going to be able to be spent on any other max guy anyhow, so it afforded is the ability to retain the rest of our roster. If we had signed Parsons, we would not hat Turner AND we would not have either Leonard/Hark or possibly both.
Is Parsons really that much better to justify this? Maybe time still needs to play out , as he is only coming back now, but I prefer what we have. With Parsons, we limit our versatility that is one of our strengths... or SHOULD be one of our strengths right now.

We went over the cap to sign Leonard and Harkless. We would still have them. Who we wouldn't have if Parsons came here were Tuner and Ezeli.

Or we couldve let Hark or Leonard go to therefore clear the capspace to sign Ezeli

Sure but from what we know about our Blazer Brass (and how by every indication they seem to Leonard more than most fans) there is nothing to suggest we would have went that route.

wow... our first possession was horrid

CJ really likes playing in Memphis it seems.

The teams defense has improved a LOT in the last 2 games. Still has some work to go, but it was pretty crappy to start with.

plums is bad so far tonight, hopefully he can get it together.

Dame shooting 30 footers like lay-ups.

Walking away from Lillard is like walking into a speeding truck.

We gonna see Leonard guard Gasol tonight?
