Shocked how bad they looked last game. I’m sure they were as well. Going to blame it on Lillard struggling and a B2B.
Blazers close out the road trip with a win but issues still remain. As to be expected this early in the season with a new coach and new defense/offense rotations.

That a boy......

...but the same two players jacking up almost half of the shots when they are shooting so much worse than other teammates who are hot.

Scheme, coaching, periphery players....it can make some incremental improvements, but until something is done about the core at the top, it is very unlikely any significant changes will occur on a consistant basis.

I think Dame's struggles are because Billups' offense is taking Dame out of his game and his rhythm. He doesn't get the consistent reps to get going. Plus he's using a lot of energy on defense. I sure hope things get ironed out by 20 games in.

I agree to a point. Dame is missing shots in the first quarter as well as the third. He is not "Too Tired" 5 mins into the quarter. Now the "Rhythm" thing might have some merit but that really doesn't seem right either. he is getting plenty of shots up. He's been getting decent looks as well. It's not like they are not open looks that he is forcing. He just ain't making them right now.

So no Love or Markanen. Is it just me or does it seem like we play a lot of teams with them missing key players?

Man I'm seriously not trying to be the Debbie Downer here on this thread but that last loss kind of messed me up a bit.
Blazers sorely need a win in this game. This is a game they can get. I started looking at schedule again. I know I know "One Game at a Time" but wow!
The Cavs are not a bad team 4-4 so far with a few decent wins. Then they come home for a first game back type game they can win against the Pacers but we all know about first games back. Shots don't fall and they are usually low energy games. Those two issues thus far have killed this team.
Then you have Lakers on the second of a B2B.
Then they go right back down to the Staples Center to play the Clippers. Then at Phoenix, At Houston and At Denver.
They could very likely be in a bad spot by the end of next week.
Better get a couple wins in there somewhere to stay afloat while they work out the bugs?

Guys need to put some points on the board early...slow starts are a bad habit.

the Cavs are missing Markannen, Love, and Okoro...that's 42 points and 23 rebounds missing

hard to excuse a Blazer loss in this game

That was true against the 76ers too. :/
