what's up with those fucked up times in Dallas?

fuck, 2pm saturday in Portland? those bring back the memories.

Nice we are on TNT/ESPN, none of that NBATV shit.

So none of the games will be on KGW too? Weren't they all last year? Or am I crazy..?

I love the 2pm start on the weekend! So pumped for the playoffs!

2PM on the Oregon coast. 11 am on the Maui coast.

Second day there and I will be in a bar first thing in the morning! That will go over well with the wife who hates it when the Ducks and Blazers ruin perfectly good vacations. I will have to lie. No other option. I will schedule a Tee Time. Watch the game and save $200.00. Then take her to a very nice dinner. Everyone will be happy. (Its a win-win, unless of course we lose!)

They are all on KGW

What was Mike Barrett referring to when he said "If that's the case than me and you won't be calling the game." I can't remember which channel he mentioned. Why would only one of the channels do that?

I think he was talking about if we were playing the Lakers Sunday on ABC then there wouldn't be a local broadcast.

But why is that? Why would it being on ABC be different than TNT or ESPN?

ABC has exclusivity of their broadcasts. Whenever they cover the game, we can't. So had we played the Lakers, ABC would surely have taken that game...... and the HCP loses money. KGW will show all games in HD.

Complete game schedule:

Game Date Location Time (PDT) TV
Game 1 Sat. 4/16 Dallas 6:30 p.m. KGW/ESPN
Game 2 Tue. 4/19 Dallas 6:30 p.m. KGW/TNT
Game 3 Thu. 4/21 Portland 7:30 p.m. KGW/TNT
Game 4 Sat. 4/23 Portland 2 p.m. KGW/TNT
Game 5* Mon. 4/25 Dallas TBD TBD
Game 6* Thu. 4/28 Portland TBD TBD
Game 7* Sat. 4/30 Dallas TBD TBD
*if necessary

All games that are not carried exclusively by NBA national broadcast partner ABC will be televised locally by KGW.

according to Blazers.com if you don't believe the crazy Hispanic guy above.

Will this be true of the rest of the playoffs, if we make it to another series that is? If so I can finally dump Comcast.

HCP, as an aside, I want to thank Blazer Broadcasting for showing all the games in HD. On NBALP, we're often the only feed broadcasting in HD, which means the Blazer game is almost always on the TeamHD or NBATVHD channel. It makes a huge difference in terms of enjoying the game. You guys have done a nice job this season. If you could pass my appreciation to the rest of the crew, it would be appreciated.

Works OK for me, glad the first Sat game is evening since I'll be out all day. Game 7 I may have to tape, it's my father's 90th birthday and I'll be in (sorry) LA. Hey, I'm bringing the cake, I have to go!

I will, thanks man, that means a lot. There is a ton of work that goes into our broadcasts.

Just make sure you wear Hornets gear if you have to travel to enemy territory.

Yeah for being such a small market broadcast and having limited resources our team does an excellent job.

For anybody who watches the feed on Team HD or NBATVHD, is the quality any different then comcast sports net? Comcast HD is unbeliably better than non-HD, but sometimes it looks like it may have too much compression in the signal or something, theres other HD programming that looks a little better.

I'll second that sentiment. One of the benefits of having NBALP is you can check out the broadcast teams (ours are average to below average) and the production by other teams. Ours is top notch. I don't know if we spend more on our broadcasts of if its the behind-the scenes team that's responsible, but the broadcasts are among the best in the league, from camera angles to replays to production quality. It's brutal not being able to use my season tickets, but seeing the broadcasts in HD really help to make up for it.

Haha, been there, done that - on all counts. The key to golf in Hawaii is finding some local dude that looks just like you, borrow his Hawaii drivers license and use it to pay $40 for the same course instead of the $150-$200 they charge us tourists at the same course. Are you planning on playing Kapalua or ???

Best plan is to just plop your butt in front of a TV and some bar and blow that $200 on beers and some seared Ahi!

HCP, rep for good point and good pun. I mean, I'll be out of the house (at the ballet, is that gay enough for you?) all day Saturday but home well in time for the game.

I have no Hornets gear, but have proudly worn Blazers gear in LA.

If you were a guy, yes, a gal, no.

Why is it listed as only on Comcast locally?

KGW is dropping the ball on the TV guide thing. These have been scheduled with them since the season started. I promise we are on KGW tonight!!!!

Why does it show on the Blazers scheduling page Comcast?
