You saw the San Antonio game right?

Yes I did. Congrats on zeroing in on the lone good team so far on our schedule.

You saw the games against

Phoenix
Denver
Sacramento
Sacramento
Detroit
Phoenix
Boston
Toronto
Brooklyn

Right?

Our wins have come against teams with a combined winning % of .406. 7 of the 9 teams have a winning % of .400 or lower.

I am not slamming the team, I am simply pointing out that our schedule has been ridiculously easy so far.

That being said, they are winning the games they should be winning

No, you do what you always do: find something negative to say in a sea of positives when our team has won 7 straight.

Edit: And that "lone good team" went to the finals last year.

Which is awesome. However, neglecting the fact that our schedule has been what it has been is ignorant.

Don't want to get all emotional or anything, but we played 3 b2b games and 6 road games. Regardless if the teams are below .500, winning on the road isn't easy.

Mags, I agree with you. All road games are difficult, and Portland has played well. Would you agree with me that some road and home games, however, are harder than others?

Of course. But winning in BK on a back to back after being down the whole 1st half is impressive. Deron Williams (the guy who started Linsanity) or not I still think we would have won.

Now say something nice for a change. ;)

Brook Lopez didn't play either.

I have been saying nice things. i am just looking at it in a more realistic window, IMO.

100% agree with you. I just don't want to downplay where we are at. I know for certain that our older team would have failed on these road trips, even to shitty teams. I also want to acknowledge that the older blazer teams would have been sooo effected by the piss poor officiating as well.

There is something different about this club and I know you see it. They are playing together and letting the game speak for themselves. They are winning games where a team plays extremely physical, half court games and high scoring run and guns. This team is multidimensional. They are finding ways to win, even when teams are trying to take them out of their comfort zone.

I keep seeing this ref talk. Portland is 17th in PF for the season, which is below the league average. I have seen every game as well and haven't noticed us getting jobbed by the refs in any unusual way

This game is proof enough that we were jobbed. But if you want to believe we aren't, that's your opinion. I think you should look at teams we faced and their average attempts they get, then the amount they got when they faced us. It's much higher than their average.

I don't think that is a fair way to look at it though. Portland might have a different philosophy than the other teams. But doing a quick look at Brooklyn, they have played a few physical teams (ours included) and have shot 30+ FT 4 out of their 10 games. Miami, Utah, Clips, Portland. Not really sure there is a correlation

“Just bad coaching,” Kidd said, so bluntly it almost seemed like he might be joking at first. But he wasn’t. “I take the blame for this,” he went on. “The guys played hard. We got a little stagnant on the offensive end so this falls on my shoulders. We got off to a good start and then that third quarter we came out a little flat and that falls on me.”
And with that simple phrase — “just bad coaching”— Kidd immediately put the onus on himself, removing any blame from his high-priced players and inviting criticism from all quarters, a risky decision for someone even as beloved as Kidd.

This has probably already been posted. The Nets were so depressed after the loss that they held a 25-minute meeting.

Bonus. Knicks writer says Prigs should start, not Felton.

Felton’s lone upside over Prigioni is his being a threat scoring the ball on the pick-and-roll. With Chandler out, there’s no reason to be playing Felton 34.4 minutes per game to Prigioni’s 19.9. Pablo has even developed a deadly pick-and-pop game with Andrea Bargnani, certainly not the weapon the Felton-Chandler P&R was, but a respectable placeholder

I love the Wes lay-up around the .45 mark on the recap video: http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=espn:9998461
The look PP gives afterwards is terrific!
But man - that move by Livingston! Actually, I'm not sure it was even that great - the defense was just terrible. Mr. ACL/MCL/LCL/PCL just blew by Dame, LMA didn't cut off the lane, and Lopez was too deep. Nice to see Livingston playing - I always liked his mix of length and talent. But those knees scare me!

From Elias: Portland became 2nd team in NBA history to win road game, allowing fewer than 100 points after giving up 40+ in 1st quarter.

Yikes! lol

And... They speak!!! http://espn.go.com/new-york/nba/story/_/id/10002373/paul-pierce-says-brooklyn-nets-angry-3-7-start

"As competitors, we're angry," Pierce said of the team's mood after a lengthy practice that lasted over two hours.

"It's not something that none of want to be in. It's not a good feeling. I don't think we're having any fun around here. Nothing's fun about losing and we're trying to fix it." - Garnett

I think it's fair to say Broke-lyn got trolled by the Blazers.
