:reading:BLAZERS' GAME NOTES
• Nicolas Batum recorded his third career triple-double against San Antonio on Nov. 2.

• Portland won the 2012-13 season series 2-1 against the Spurs, the first time the Trail Blazers have claimed the series since the 2010-11 season when it was won 3-1.

• Damian Lillard (25), LaMarcus Aldridge (24) and Wesley Matthews (20) all had 20-plus point games in the first matchup against San Antonio.

• Portland has gone 4-3 in its last seven games played in San Antonio.

• Since the beginning of the 2008-09 season, the Trail Blazers are 13-5 against the Spurs in regular season play.

• The Trail Blazers scored 136 points against the Spurs on March 8, 2013, the highest score posted by the Trail Blazers all season.

• Spurs guard Patty Mills played his first two NBA seasons with Portland from 2009-11 after being taken 55th overall in the 2009 NBA Draft.

• San Antonio assistant coach Ime Udoka played one season with Portland in 2006-07. Udoka is a Portland native who attended Jefferson High School and Portland State University.

• Nicolas Batum won the 2013 Eurobasket Championship with Spurs guard Tony Parker and forward Boris Diaw on the French National Team.

• Spurs forward Boris Diaw and Portland center Robin Lopez were teammates for part of the 2008-09 season with the Phoenix Suns before Diaw got traded to Charlotte.

GO BLAZERS!

Green is a solid defender, so that helps he's out. Tiago was abused by LA... so now "the Jeff formerly known as Pendergraph" is gonna be guarding LA? Yikes.

Belinelli will probably still get a majority of the SG minutes, even though Manu (hamstring issues) will likely start.

Absolutely can't wait for this game. I have a good feeling

The Blazers have matched up well with the Spurs historically and with a couple of injuries the Spurs have, this should be a winnable game. San Antonio has a great record for a reason because Pop is the best coach in the NBA and they will likely out execute the Blazers but Portland has more overall talent at this point and if they can shoot it at close to their 'normal' rate, this could be a good start to the road trip.

Jeff McDonald @JMcDonald_SAEN
Right shin contusion on Parker, not left. Spurs officially list him as questionable for tonight.

Tony Parker got kicked in the left shin again late in Utah game. Says "it hurts like crazy" but plans to play tonight vs Blazers.

Will we go under the pick on TP tonight? Probably not.

Spurs announcer: "Blazers starting 5 only one to start every game this season"
Announcer #2: "For a team with so many injuries over the years, it's well-deserved"

Aww...

Aww...

Then they mention the team was called the Jail Blazers.

Blazer defense looking good in the early going.

Sneaky move by Parker. The refs can see that one but not Dame getting fouled 4 out of 5 times when he drives to the hoop.

I'm right here. Is it your contention that tonight is the night he snaps out of his 7-year streak of shooting 42% on jumpers?

See? LMA goes inside, draws multiple defenders, passes to an open 3 from Wes.

W3SLEY

Refs are calling some ticky tack BS on both sides on offense. Kind of odd.

Even though he got the foul, I like that he thinks he can make Diaw his bitch.

You're absolutely right. His game speaks for itself. You just don't understand its language.

Diaw doing a nice job on LA so far.

Looks like Nic feels as if his production is needed tonight
