Time for Aldridge to make Love his bitch. Time for Aldridge to prove who is the best PF in the game!

LMA doesn't have to prove anything, IMO. Our record speaks for him.

I agree, but it's the late game heroics and individual MVP-like performances that make for great stories. And stories are where Legends are made. (Insert The Hobbit sound track?)

I want this win pretty bad... But 4 games in 5 nights on the road... win or lose, it's been a fantastic road trip!

This is going to be a shoot out. The guy I fear the most from their lineup is Barea. I would make every young PG watch film on that little Nat, so they can emulate how he is able to score inside against players a foot taller, and much more athletic than him.

Oh god... I forgot about him. Reminds me of Dragic a little bit. I say we let Rubio get his 15 for a career high and keep him in the game.

I think they know that after tomorrow's game they only play 1 game in the next week. So mentally they should be going all out tomorrow. They will get their rest after this game. One more guys!

Wonder if Kevin Martin is going to play?

Wonder if Kevin Martin is going to play?

Rotowire STATUS: Day-to-day

Martin (knee) is doubtful for Wednesday's game against Portland, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. "It's something I've got to get right," he said after Monday's game. "I don't know. It's hard to tell. There's a lot of pain in the knee. It's time I've got to get it right." (about 2 hours ago)

Id love it if Martin wasn't in. I just have a feeling he'd torch us. And if I'm remembering their roster, that leaves Love as the only real 3 pt threat, so we could collapse a bit and/or double Love as much as we can.

I can't remember if JJ is a good 3 guy... but I'm looking at the roster and there is really no one that jumps out.

Dante Cunningham

Minnesota F Dante Cunningham needed to be helped from the court after he was fouled by Sullinger with just less than four minutes remaining in the game.

Rotowire STATUS
Day-to-day Cunningham left Monday's [fixed a typo that said Tuesday] game against Boston with an injured left ankle in the fourth quarter, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reports. "I'm sure he's going to be out," head coach Rick Adelman said. "Someone else is going to have to step up. We have great experience with that." (about 6 hours ago)

Basically Minnesota's version of Batum (Martin) and Freeland (Cunningham) will likely not play tonight. Could be fun. It means Love will be jacking up more shots. Great time for LA to get his blocked shot average on the season to 1 per game.

I can't stand JJ Barea. He's such an annoying little shit. He and Rubio are like little rodents you have to chase around the court with a broom.

It will be interesting to see Love try to throw touch down passes over a very long Portland team.

I'm so loving the thought of the Blazers players checking out their iPads on how to play these guys. Not like this is news, but Portland is perfect against sub .500 teams, and the Twolves are exactly that. I sense a blow out if Portland gets any kind of lead by the half.

Damn. I just looked at our Drtg for halves, it drops a full 7.2 based on halves. And from the 2nd to 3rd quarter, it goes from 110.9 to 94.2, but in the 4th it goes back up to 107... not good, but that may be because we have a lot of garbage minutes in a few games, so who knows.

Well, Minnesota is 7th in the league in fast break with 17.3, and we are 10th in the league at giving up fastbreaks (at 12.0)

Opponent fast break

Fastbreak scoring

I just wanted to check it out, to see our % of points from 3, and we're actually 2nd! Which is kind of shocking (albeit, I know LMA gets lots of buckets), with the L*kers in first. (Minny is 13th)

% of points of 3's

As far as how much teams give up the 3, we're #2 there as well, with Minny being #19, so that'll be an exploit.

Stats are fun!

I can't wait to shit on loves all-star hopes and his sportscenter specials.

The numbers that matter

Minnesota is
3-3 on Wednesday
7-5 on 1 day rest
1-3 vs NW division
7-4 at home
They give up more points to their opponents on Wednesday than any other day

Portland is
3-2 on Wednesday (easily their worst day)
6-1 on 0 days rest
4-0 vs NW division
12-2 on the road
We score fewer points on Wednesday than any other day

Also, Portland holds the Scoreboard against Minny at home and on the road. I don't think they've won in years.

This is the one game that would shock me if we won, actually.

I'm actually in the same boat. I wanna believe we are gonna blow them out. I got a feeling that this maybe a game we lose. Almost the same feeling I had against Dallas.

Hopefully the Blazers prove me wrong

We're actually the underdogs tonight - at least according to basketball-reference.com. If you go to their main page and look at the box labeled "Today's Games", you will see their win probability has the Blazers at 46% and the Timberwolves at 54%.

Someone needs to tell the guys the guys the experts expect them to lose tonight. They seem to play their best when they feel disrespected.

You guys ready to get your azzes handed to you? Well, it won't be happening tonight. We are terrible. Have a nice win!
