Well, choosing No. 8 in the NBA Draft on Tuesday, the Knicks could have a choice of North Carolina's Sean May or Arizona's Channing Frye.

May, who left Chapel Hill after his junior year, is a 6-foot-8 forward. He averaged nearly 18 points and 11 boards last year.

Frye, who stayed at Arizona through his senior year, averaged almost 16 and 8 last season.

"I would take Frye ahead of May," said ESPN's Jay Bilas, the network's draft analyst.

"He is 6-11. He's a good athlete. He is really skilled. He can really shoot it. He is the type of guy you could play pick and pop with all day long. He's not as good of a rebounder as May.

"I have Channing Frye rated as the No. 5 player in this draft. If it went according to my rankings, he would be gone by the time the Knicks drafted. Of what I heard, I don't know if anybody else has him ranked quite that high.'' </div>

With KT gone, Frye is looking more and more like the choice for the Knicks at #8.

Knicks don't need Fries they need trade the 8 for late 1st rounders and pick up guys like Petro Bynum and Blatche

Fyre is 6"10 accualy, he's a poor rebounder, with a limited offensive game. He doesn't have a position, he's not a true center

Trade #8 and Penny Expiring Contract for a Center or Select some one like Bynum who has more potiential.

No point in the Knicks picking up Sean May. The last thing you need is two guys Sweetney and May both who of which aren't in good enough to shape togeather. The Knicks need a very strong center who can be effective on both ends. Maybe Frye is that guy, he has been impressive in recent workouts.

Agreed, But Frye has played 4 years and how come no one has herd of him? He has no offensive game and a poor rebounder for his height. I'm going to the Draft! If he picks Frye I will Chant "Frie Isiah Thomas!" Not to mention he will get pushed around in the NBA level.

Bynum? He isn't close to being NBA-ready and Frye is much better than him skill-wise in terms of potential he has it over him though. Bynum simply bullies his opponents that he is much bigger than but it's not going to work in the NBA. For some reason, I get this strong feeling he is the next Desagana Diop and the weird part about it is he was drafted #8.

Other than Shaq and Yao, and there aren't many other centers worth an expiring contract and our 8th. Frye is our only player.

I was thinking of few trade scenes:
Penny, #8 for Swift+ Lorenzo Wright

or something like
Penny #8 for Theo Ratliff and #3

just have to be creative

you say Frye has potiential? how? back it up, with out using scrub draft sites.

I?m in no way saying he will be a superstar. He might not even be a star in this league, but I know he?ll be a good player. First of all, he has a good work ethic. What we need is someone we know will work and won?t be lazy like Chris Taft or an immature project who might not turn out well. What we need is to win now especially with our huge expiring contracts we have. We would be nuts to pass up on Channing Frye. Anyone who?s 6?11 and 270 pounds (second on the bench press) with a 31? vertical and a great wingspan deserves our time. Aguirre will be able to work wonders with him.

I think the Knicks should take Frye. He will be able to come in & help on the first day IMO. Sweetney I don't think will ever turn out to be much of a player. Frye may not have the potential as Bynum but like I said he can come in right away.

Have you watched the sweet man? GREAT offensive rebounder and the knicks only post player, he can easily drop 15/10 with quality PT
