Deal is starting to seem like it's falling through due to a failed septic drain field. We have some room to negotiate but I'm like 50/50 that we will have to walk away. What a shame.

When we bought our house the septic failed. We made the seller pay for the hook up to the city and they went for it. Delayed getting the keys a few weeks but it worked out for the best. If you like the house, put the honus on the homeowner. They wont be able to sell it to anyone else without it getting fixed or turned to city water so it is in thier best interest to work with you on it.
