Don't know about you guys, but the lowest I've seen in Houston is $1.93!
I was just about to say that. We've had petrol cuts too though. This is per gallon, right? In the UK the lowest I've seen is 96.9p per litre, which is $1.57 per litre, which is $5.93 per US gallon. You don't know how good you have it, even at $4 per litre.

Yes. We have had it good.

Bullshit. The only difference between the US and Europe regarding petrol costs is government taxation.
If we are paying less than half of what some European countries are, now are we not in a better position than they are?

Europe cares about its environment. We pay the same amount. The government taxes it more. It's the fault of the governments in those countries, not that the American consumer is lucky.
Europe cares about its environment.
Hmmm. Kind of makes you wonder about those price-fixing allegations last summer against "Big Oil". I guess OPEC must not be as good at it now as they were in June.

Yep.
I really get tired of that misrepresentation, but since there is no real way to justify the raping of our wallets by Big Oil...
Europe cares about its environment.
I'm still looking for that station where I can fill my tank with gas from "Little Oil".
Given the cost of exploration for resources, drilling, pumping, shipping, refining, and distributing the product, I'm not holding my breath. I guess it's just so much easier to curse the companies that bring us a commodity that we all need on a daily basis if we lump them under the derogatory sounding title of "Big Oil".
