HCP, I have a question about video tape from a camcorder. How many years does 8 mm last without being converted to digital? Mine is all 15-25 years old. I haven't cracked it open for 15-20 years. Is it ruined yet?

I'm not the expert on that stuff, but My hi-8 tapes from 11 or 12 years ago are still good to go. I think as long as they stay dry. You should try to get that stuff transfered over to drives though.
