How the hell can we do it without the idiots on that site deleting the thread. I certainly can't help. Neither can Messiah since we've both been banned from that site. 59.....it looks like its up to you. Or perhaps you have the e-mails to guys like vette & st0ney. Good luck.
 
I don't go to their forums. Are they so dead that a mod can easily read everything?

Or are people reporting posts and the mods act on that?

Or do they have software that searches for http:// in posts and flags them... This is how I'd do it...

Note I wouldn't ban someone for posting a link, even if you all decide to move on elsewhere. If a spammer posts a link, he's toast ;)

When they re-did the boards over there some time back they gave an option called FLAGGING. I'm guessing if you get flagged enough by some idiot that you don't get along with, they ban you. Really pathetic.

...rick, I'll do what I can...messiah created a new name today and can still post.
 
Slowly but surely we will get more people. That Reddit site is ridiculous so I don't see people dealing with that long term. The real issue is that people can still post on ESPN and are holding on. Once that officially dies they will have to go somewhere.

Did you see my thread directed at 59 I recruited about a dozen posters on the ESPN site by putting the link to this site on there wall. Hopefully they're still checking that & will join us when that crap board closes down.
 
Your posts here will get indexed by Google and people will find them when searching for Yankees and baseball, etc.

You guys are doing great.

But you need avatars and signatures, IMO. See the settings link upper right on top of the page.

Denny I'm pretty much a computer illiterate, I wouldn't even know how to create an avatar. I guess first I would have to have someone down load something I like in a folder before I can do anything. Here's a thought thought though for people like me maybe you guys can find a way to post a dozen or so choices (avatars) that we can choose from. Just an idea.
 
Dont worry about the 'trolls' we can deal with them! We have Denny Crane for Gods sake! ;)

An avatar is just a picture. Your favorite Yankee or even the yankee logo!

I hope so because if this vindicare0 guy is on the level 70% of the ESPN board is on that site.

If that's the case it's pretty said since there's very little activity. Like I said I still think many aren't posting much of anything at the moment. When ESPN goes bye bye next week we will see what happens.

I just took a peak at that site. Did you know that its strictly Yankees. You can't go to other boards, Other sports. I'd get tired of that real quick.

Yeah that's just not going to work as an alternative for many people. ESPN was good because you could easily jump around to the other boards. The New York Rangers board alone is reason enough for me to come here.

Same here. Aside from the Yankees I'm also a HUGE SF Giants fan & Celtics fan. I like having every site just a click away.

Not only were they removed from the Yankees board but they were also removed from the Celtics board. And here's the kicker..........I was banned...........AGAIN!

Do you know the link to the reddit board? I'd like to pay them a visit. I've got an idea.
 
You're dealing with some mental midgets and children over there so I don't know how far you're going to get. I mean if you compare that board and format with this board and format it's no contest really. It would make a lot more sense to post here.

I have every intention of remaining here. If anything I'm just going to let those members know that if they want a COMPLETE board where they have access to EVERY team & EVERY sport, that they may want to give this one a look-see.

I'll tell you guys, I must be more of a computer illiterate than I thought. I signed onto that site but I'll be damned if I could figure out how to create a NEW thread.
 
I can't look at that site for anymore than 30 seconds.
