Re: Go Cardinals!
I've been a Cards fan all my life. Thus far in the post season, everyone has doubted us, and we've came through to surprise nearly everyone. Tonight, we shocked the Motor City of Detroit, Michigan, and defeated them on their home field, as Anthony Reyes (5.73 ERA) pitched nine innings defeating another rookie (Justin Verlander; 3.63 ERA) who only pitched five or six innings (correct me.)If's, and injuries have bugged the Cardinals throughout the Post Season. I mean, people are saying Edmonds is done, Rolen is washed up (a homer tonight, and a double), and Pujols's hamstring injury (he still hit a homer. Why not walk the guy?)I'm questioning Game 2 though, but I have my faith in Jeff "Dream" Weaver, just because he's been pitching brilliantly throughout the 2006 MLB Playoffs. I can only hope that he pitches great tommorow night. I would love to see the Cards pick up an unlikely 2-0 lead on Detroit, heading back to Busch.
