Yep. Taught our dumb fucks how to play defense, but he limited us offensively so when AV came in it was a mix of what they remembered defensively and learning how to play offense, which is why we got to the finals.
Miller one win away from going to the finals. What a surprise. Players leave the rangers and win cups. People were shitting on him constantly when he was here.
It appears Carolina will finally get over their hump and make the SCF. Going to be an interesting SCF, no one ever questioned Vegas' talent, they are deep and talented, and Carolina was miles away the best team in a weak East this season. Should be a fun series, where I very slightly lean towards Vegas, but it's just about a toss-up series where either team can win without surprise or upset IMO.
Drury should do a lot of things but never does. Another big summer for him starts soon, the draft is June 26th. We'll see if he F's it up like he usually does.
The Rangers have a ton of cap space, two 1st round picks (including # 5 overall), and a lot of other picks as well. They should be well positioned to get some things done and be smartly/strategically aggressive, even though there are no real impact UFA's on the market this summer.
Does he keep all the picks?
What does he do with Schneider and Trocheck (to a lesser extent Lafreniere)?
Does he sign any UFA's?
Some questions Drury will have to answer soon. Schneider is interesting to me, because I don't think a bridge deal makes sense, either longer term or trade him IMO. I saw some rumors connecting Schneider to SJ who needs dmen badly, maybe in a package to move up from # 5 to # 2 overall, or for one of their NHL ready young forward prospects.
