OT Good question..........

...been talking about this insanity for awhile now...I'm sorry about some of these peoples' plight but even if only 1% of these refuges end up being extremists/terrorists that sneak in under the guise of being a legitimate refuge, that constitutes 250 killers. It's not out of the realm of possibility and reason that if we're so gullible to willingly welcome these people into this country, it will cost us dearly in the future.

Got an idea- all the media pundits and politicians who favor and endorse mass influx of refugees from Syria AND any other Muslim country sign over their houses and a portion of their savings in a fund to help victims, pay for property damage, medical resources, overtime costs to law enforcement in the event "a couple" of those refugees become active terrorists.

And the next time a politician or media talking head who favors bringing in these refugees mentions or suggests the risk of any enemy agents/terrorists sneaking in amoung them is very minimal, someone has to ask them the following questions:
If there was a small bowl of M&Ms, and you knew two or three of them were laced with cyanide but didn't know which ones, would you grab a few and eat them?

If there were "only" ONE of those M&Ms laced with cyanide and you didn't know which one, would you eat a couple/few of them?

I'm beginning to think we're surrounded and being "led" by a bunch of fucking idiots.

I have an English friend who comes to this area twice a year and has done so for far longer than I've know him. He's been trying to get citizenship here for ages but as I've told him Caucasians who speak the language, can work, and contribute are pretty far down the line these days. In listening to him talk about the situation with refugees in Europe people here need to get their heads out of their ass and set down firm standards : just say no. You can sure bet that none of those refugees will be staying with the Obummers.

All the horrendous gun laws in CA could not stop these sleepers. Which has been our point for years now....these restrictions do not impede those with criminal intent. Rather they create the fishbowls of easy targets in gun free zones. All it would have taken is 1 or 2 concealed carriers in that room to impede the assault long enough for LEO response. We need minutemen, not "when its politically correct to respond...".

I'm all for stricter gun laws to the point where I honestly think there should be a ban on automatic weapons sold to anyone in the general public. Sorry but a store owner or your next door neighbor doesn't need an AK47 to protect there homes & property. JMO.

Yesterday a man on Long island NY was caught with............

6 unregistered handguns
An AR-15 assault rifle
8,300 rounds of ammo
2 bulletproof vests
And a fake air marshal ID

And cops say he wasn't a threat to the public.

There has to be a way for better back round checks for anyone purchasing a weapon, a registration check to see if John Smith already has any weapons & what kind he has. Granted there's no way to check if he has any weapons bought off the street so we're only talking about REGISTERED weapons. I mean 8,300 rounds a red flag should go up. Also IMO they should discontinue the sale of law inforcement uniforms to the general public. Things are just way to easy to purchase today. Okay I'm off the soapbox.

...yup...Cali thought they were actually accomplishing something when they banned assault rifles and banana clips, et al...and what good did it do them?

...some people forget that the 9/11 attacks were carried out with box cutters and our own jets which we taught and trained them how to fly them...the Boston Marathon attack was carried out by bombs...the ISIS executions are beheadings carried out with a knife...there are other examples...if people wanna kill people, they will find a way.

California Laws really piss me off. Gun laws especially as well as the CCW laws.

You want to know how fkd up these laws are?

My little bro' a 15 year LA County Deputy, was retired as disabled after chasing a perp, who was shooting at Him the entire time. He hurt his lower spine badly.....

He goes to have surgery, and in the process of retiring Him, the LASD fks up his paperwork, as they nullified his CCW. Rule #1 never ever take a retired Cops CCW from Him/Her. The amount of felon's these guys take down, and imprison is astronomical. One bad guy out of 1,000s of perps handled, spends years in Prison, never forgetting the Cops name who took Him down.

He heard all the fkn time from these scumbags, "When I get out I'm gonna' kill you and your family". He had to literally fkng SUE the LASD, to get his CCW back, ONLY after a paroled felon found out where he lived, and tried to break His way into my bro's house. (Tho' they took his CCW for too long, that did not prevent him from packing heat no matter where he went).

No one got the upper hand, or element of surprise on My Brother, fkn NO One, ......... He goes out through the garage armed to the hilt, snuck up behind the perp, trying to pry his door open, put his 38 to the perps head, ........needless to say the Perp was sent back to Prison, (instead of having his brains sprayed across the house);

My bro' still did not have his CCW, (at that time- he was trying to heal from major spinal surgery). Not until 1 & 1/2 years after losing his Ca. Concealed Weapons permit, did His lawsuit get heard, ..... the judge would not even hear the County's bullshit as to why they bumbled taking away His CCW.

As the Judge said: "You were done a grave injustice by the LASD".

Once a Cop, always a Cop. Never take anything away from them, never...!

Hey Rick, respectfully let me correct you on a few things.

First, the AR15 is not an assault rifle it is a std semiauto rifle like all modern hunting rifles. Media doesn't understand that there are shared cosmetic features with the M4/M16 which has select fire/full auto capability. My AR15 fires 1 round per trigger pull, just like a revolver.

Second, large amounts of ammo are very common for anyone that actually trains to effectively use their weapon. I generally can go through a thousand rounds per range trip. And like Costco, buying in bulk is cheaper.

There are many levels of body armor and what civilians can legally buy won't do much good against cops or military.

Most weapons in the us are unregistered, that's how it should be. One should not require govt tracking to exercise rights. Otherwise let's all register our keyboards first.

Thanks for the correction Tom, I was basically just repeating something I read. With that said though I still think gun laws need to be tweaked a bit. Sorry, call me crazy but its just to damn easy to get whatever you want today & as much as you want. Again, JMO.

The biggest problem is enforcing laws already on the books regarding sales in a more efficient timely fashion - Should be no reason why the red flags aren't immediately raised and followed up on.

Yep, I agree there CAN BE some tweaking and adjustments made but just like the existing criteria, it has to be more streamlined, more easily accessible and transparent to the gun merchants.

Rick I'd like to walk you through my process here in CA, just to enlighten you what these scumbags faced.

Go to gun shop. Must have valid CA ID, home address on ID must match your current residence to be valid.
Complete CA handgun safety test ( first hand gun purchase, good for 5 years).
Complete BATFE form 4473 and background check. Form requires declaration of mental stability, med treatment or existing court orders against you under penalty of felony perjury.
Pay for weapon.
10 day waiting period, allows for more thorough background check, state and federal.
Go pick up weapon, demonstrate ability to use before walking out, a few more forms to acknowledge proper storage and penalty for straw purchases.
Cannot buy another weapon (handgun or rifle) for 30 days.

So now you tell me what other rules to you want law abiding people to follow? You want to know how these scum bags got past this....he used straw purchases by having someone else with a clean record buy for him. Criminals will always get weapons. Gun control laws only limit lawful people from the right to self protection. We've tried gun control...lets try something more useful like arming all lawful citizens.

Terrorists and criminals are all cowards. They aren't attacking places that have armed citizens. They are seeking places where they have an advantage to exact their agenda.

I didn't realize it was that tough BUT......one jumps out at me (highlighted) WHY would you need ANOTHER weapon after 30 days? Because if I'm reading you right providing everything passes you can purchase a weapon every 31 days if you want to. So by the end of the year you could have a small arsenal. Like I said, maybe just a few tweaks, even if its 90 or 120 days instead of 30 days.

Go count how many knives you have in the house. Surely you don't need more than 1 baseball bat. How about golf clubs?

Firearms are tools Rick. Each one has a specific job. You see your buying into the anti's premise that guns exist only to kill people. That's a straw man argument. Try this one on for size...its a well established fact that people kill other people, therefore you can only have one child. That is the same logic in limiting the number of firearms I have.

For 3 gun competitions, I need multiple caliber options depending on the course and class. For long distance shooting competition its the same with rifles. Hunters have many rifles and shotguns depending on the game to be taken. Govt has no place in establishing restrictions on commerce, especially for exercising a constitutionally secured right.

You want a list of words you can and cannot use on the message board? How about someone limits your tone and dialog with others? I don't want a govt that is run by ESPN board mods do you?

...I'd like to know exactly how many NRA members have committed any of these terrible acts.

None, not one single NRA member.......! But Ye' knew that, :tiphat:

Perhaps the NRA should rename itself, The "National Responsible Arms Members".....just spitballin' :smiley-sun:

Knives & baseball bats are more your up close & personal weapons. I never heard of anyone wiping out a dozen+ people from 20-30 feet away with a knife or a bat. BUT.......I do see your point. As far as the # of guns one can have as I said I just think the laws need to be tweaked a bit. Instead of every 30 days make it every 90 days. Why make it so easy to stock up quickly? And as far as # of weapons yes honestly I think there should be a cap on that. I'm not talking 2-3 but I've read things where people literally have small arsenals. Sorry but I just don't see it. or understand it. I know it can't be just me.

Let me throw the ball back in your court Tom since you obviously know a lot more about this than I do. Hell I never even owned a gun. What would you do (if anything) to control the sale of weapons to everyone & anyone? Limits, background checks etc.

Well in China they typically have machete wielding terrorists take out 20-30 people in train stations. its happens several times a year. State run media has some perks in keeping the tourists flowing in....

We have a pretty good background check system, but its underfunded and not properly resourced or used. It does need to be continuously updated to include: felons, persons under felony indictments, pedophiles/sex predators, spouse abusers and stalkers. It also needs to cover those that have been treated and or mediated for specific psychological disorders, and people who have attempted suicide.

Thats step one - utilize the existing background check system. Without registration, anyone obviously disqualified from owning/possessing a weapon must surrender weapons until otherwise reversed by a court. So..if you get indicted for a felony - you surrender your weapons, voluntarily or ceased. This is done so poorly.

Step two - national concealed carry reciprocity, if you can carry in one state you can carry in all. 2A is a constitutional right, states cant modify that to their whim....like NY or CA. standardize the requirements to shall issue, with appropriate safety and training certificates.

Step three - step 2 consequence eliminates need for gun free zones.

Step four - deputized militia from concealed carry population to act as embedded first responders, to serve at the point of active shooting until LEO arrives.

You do these things, and there will never be another mass shooting because the damage will be so minimized that these cowards will need to find an alternative means for enacting terror plots.

Three things which should always be remembered when discussing the "gun issue".
The most convenient, efficient quickest way to stop someone from attempting to kill you or cause serious bodily harm is with a sidearm.
We're never going to prevent unknowns from (the least) trying to kill a would be target.
Guns enable even the dumbest persons to kill more people more quickly than knives and clubs.

The "authorities" and law makers should always keep these three things in mind.

I'd have to disagree, the safest and quickest way to take down a heavily armed opponent is, to hit them in the Triangle, before they even see you.........

Or- stuff a grenade down their fkng throats, .....

From what I see here in dark L.A., is a true threat to all Caucasian's, incited by hate driven Blacks here, who have had the flames of their decades of racial hatred, stoked by asshole racists like Farrakan(sp? or who gives a fk), Sharpton and Jackson, even Obumanation.......

This Nation IMO, and while working for the D.O.D. even NASA, used to take its Security for granted, before 911. I've seen to many pre-911 AC Plants, poorly prepared to stop a threat at the gates. Even TSAR black hole OPS AC, once were too lightly defended IMO.

Today, black hole OPS programs, Post 911, have 4 times the entrance guards, and fortified gates, and Guards armed with AR-15s, or M-16s, as well as: double aught buck shotguns, camera's and series of hardened steel and concrete gates, which stop a threat long before they can get near these programs of Defensive measures....there was a day however, when even a Space Shuttle was only guarded by men with wimpy shotguns, and 9mm handguns only......that all changed overnight, after 911.....

Today as one approaches the South Gate of Edwards AFB, out in the Desert quit alone or so it seems. There sits but a small guard shack, which used to have 4 GI's for Security armed with M-16s. Now after 911, what looks like a small Guard Shack, serves as an entrance to a shallow underground bunker with over a dozen or more GI's heavily armed, including our latest version of bazookas, and a Jeep with a "Rat Patrol" style, dual barrel .50 caliber machine gun, that can cut a truck in half........

NTM- the newest toy for Xmas, that the public can't obtain, tho it is on my Xmas list...........I want it......!!! -
