Does anyone else graduate from high school. college, or 8th grade this year?I graduate today from 8th grade and my bro graduates 2morrow from High School. Busy week lol.

A week ago I graduated from College. I'm really happy about that too, but I may be going back for even more school. :/

Ive been going to the same school for 9 years (kindergarden-8th) so its gonna be a big change making new friends and adjusting to a new school.

God, the way they treat younger kids these days. Graduation for 8th grade. Pathetic. You guys must go to a private school. Or when I was in 8th grade all the special disorder kids got a graduation deal. Just a self esteem builder, you guys must be in the same situation.I had a 'real' Graduation about this time last year from high school

You get a gold star or a medal just for showing up nowadays. It's dumb. Does anybody NOT graduate from middle school? I barely ever went..never did to much and it didn't matter. I spent 2 years in my middle school..big whoop. What exactly did I accomplish there? I don't think I learned anything in middle school come to think of it..it was just a huge stopgap before going to high school.Hopefully you won't cry? please. You are going to school with the same people next year, wtf is the difference?I like schools where the high schools go from like 7th-12th. You probably learn a little more about life that way a little quicker.

Also, a bunch of people didnt graduate, my grade wasnt the smartest to say the least lol.

I think the only Graduation 8th graders should get is The Puberty Accomplishment

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (Combs @ May 17 2007, 03:22 PM) <{POST_SNAPBACK}></div><div class='quotemain'>Well then your situation is weird.</div>yeah it kinda sucks. We're not having a big graduation or anything, we're all going to the school and the principal is gonna call us up, we shake his hand, get a certificate and then leave. We're all going to one of my friends end of the year party after which is the only big deal, other than that its really just the same as every other year except we get a paper saying we passed 8th grade.

Im not graduating, but next week is my last week, then ill be a junior. I have sme senior friends though who im going to miss seeing next year.

8th grade isnt graduating, I wish it was. woulda saved me a lot of time.

yeah graduating jr high is not a big deal.im graduating hs in 6 days.

I graduated last summer after being a damn senior for so long it felt good to be free.

At the end of 8th grade, our school class rented out a pavilion in the park by my house and we had a big party....I wouldn't consider ending middle school as any kind of 'graduation'....

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Does anybody NOT graduate from middle school?</div>Only two of my friends graduated for middle school, they went to high school but they didnt get the little gay diploma thingy they gave out. and my brother didn't either, hell they almost held his stupid ass back, which says a lot because they hardly ever do that. I do agree that its stupid, so what you passed middle school yay for you. you're parents should treat you to a nice dinner and thats it. but I think the cerimony is mostly for the parents, it's the school proven to them that the school took care of their children and educated them.

I had an 8th grade "promotion" and it is a special thing for those involved. I also had a pre-school graduation with a cap and gown.

2 more years of high school for me.

I'm in the same situation as wadeshaq. Only about 5 kids are going to the same HS as me and graduating from my school is actually a big deal as it is one of the best schools in the state.

its middle school, big deal I dont care how good it is. Only thing that colleges care about is high school, everything before that is useless

The constant pressure to succeed, to get into excellent high schools, to pursue education beyond just for grades, to please parents...

I think graduating from elementary school should be a big deal though. You get through your first phase of life basicly. I think elementary students do deserve something like a graduation when they finish 6th grade. For middle school, we had a small ceremony just saying "do well in highschool, it was good having you...GET OUT!". Haha...we were bad...

Colleges will track your stuff back to 7th grade, its a proven fact. I know a couple juniors just now taking algebra gateway, I took that in 8th grade..middle school. Gateway is a big test, you have to pass it to get outve highschool.

No, middle school does count considering what kindve classes you were in. Your school system begins a new file when you get in 7th grade, and its the same file they use up to your senior year. And colleges have access to it. They are keeping trackk of all the exams, and state tests we took...atleast here. Middle school does count.

yes it does. Not as big as junior and senior exams or final tests, but they do count alot more than you think.I know about this cause I talked to my history teacher about it. He said people dont realize how much they look into middle school grades, shows how hard you work when you jump into a newly exposed enviroment.

w/e everyone I've talked to has always said its useless, and it probably is, no work is required to excel in those early grades. I aced those years so easily. Anyways what really matters are 9th grade on, or so im told

Maybe where you went, my honor classes were hard at my middle school. The exams were hard, and like I said, theres atleast two tests I took in 8th grade that sophomores and juniors are just now taking. Maybe not where you went, but my middle school grades will count on my applications.

well honors for others were hard, but for me they were extremly easy. Thats not teh point, all im saying si that ive always been told those grades dont matter

You guys must go to a weird school. Because when I was in middle school, we all went to the same high school
