Que up the sarcastic remarks.......

when he's "officially gone", I'll be watching the "draft party" on youtube, crying myself to sleep. :sigh:

Imagine if he comes back healthy with another team.....can you imagine how loudly he'd get bood in the Rose Garden? Fortuneatly, that is about as likely to happen as Greg Oden's knees getting healthy.

The whole fiasco seems like a 'no thought' to Larry Miller when Greg is brought up.

Who? huh? Next question.

i would imagine he would need police protection.

I won't Boo him, its not like he really did anything wrong here. Just a string of bad luck.

nobody will be there to boo him as attendance will have already plunged to jail blazer ear numbers.

Why? Through no fault of his own it didn't work out. I'd cheer the fact he was able to overcome numerous serious injuries and narrow minded people (not you) and made it.

fuck that, I invested a lot of my fandom in him. its not his fault, but its going to sting. I hope he can play, it would hurt really bad to see him do well anywhere but portland, much like how I can't stand watching Durant.

Of course he's selling it. He needs a home with wheel chair access.

Meh... Old news. Been mentioned in at least 2-3 other threads long before this new thread dedicated solely to this.

I know this is a homer way of thinking but what if he's selling his home so he can buy another one?

No. The actual article states that Greg says he's done in Portland, is going to continue his career, but that he feels he needs a fresh start.

The Blazers probably should have just waived Oden when Joel came back. Actually, they should waive him right now and bring in Patty Mills as soon as Patty is available. At least we know Mills will actually give effort on the court.

Greg Oden is the single biggest letdown I've had as a Blazer fan. It's been mentally exhausting for five years now, and I have nothing invested in it except for being a fan. I can't imagine the disappointment and fatigue that Nate and Paul Allen went through over the same time frame.

When is Nate going to sell his house?

Well I wish him the worst of luck and hope he never steps foot on the floor again. Or, I wish the Lakers sign him to some mega cap killer deal and have to live with his constant injuries each and every year.

I'm not going to rail on Greg Oden, he knows what kind of man he is, or isn't! That said, GO and BRoy for the last two years have been the biggest SCAM ever run on a great fan base by a morally bankrupt owner and his cast of kiss ass yes men looking for season ticket holders. Fraud is the only word you can use for this! PA and his quack pot team of medical misfits have known that GO and ROY would never be solid contributers again. They dangled the dream of these two mens recoveries to a fan base thirsting for a rebirth to the real RIP CITY! Paul Allen and crew knew it was a fraud, and continued the scam till it became painfully obvious that there was something a miss here! But hey? That's only two more years of season tickets they got for lying to the most loyal fan base in the NBA right?

If there's a swan song for great acts than there certainly must be a Shit Bird one too. PA and Crew will be ever defined as terd fondlers in my mind and until they are gone, I'll never spend another dollar on this franchise. This ownership doesn't deserve my respect, or my money, because they have NONE for their fans!

I want to find something to disagree with here, but I can't. The funny part is how many posters here would defend the Blazers' decision to not give updates on Greg Oden, saying it was a HIPAA issue, or none of our business, or similar things. Turns out the only reason they weren't giving us the truth is because it would hurt ticket sales. Maybe after this road trip, they can stop this silly "sell-out" streak that is obviously a hoax at this point.

Where is the article? I find it hard to believe in this day and age that his quote that "he is done in Portland" did not scroll across the bottom of my TV screen. Not saying it is not true, but the Oregonian lives for this shit. Did I miss something?

Lie about your two hub players in GO and Roy, don't hire a GM, keep a coach that can't run a freaking play out of the time out, surround your franchise with kiss ass yes men who don't dare rock the boat, and pepper the team with personnel like Felton to replace Andre and this all screams..... piss poor management making money, crapping on the fans!

Okay so if healthy, what team will he play for? Obviously isn't going to demand max money, so he can pick whomever.

If it ever happens it won't be for at least another year and a half.

Yes, but then watch out! He'll play like a demon and we'll all wish he were still a Blazer. 10 games later he'll get hurt and be out the rest of the next three seasons.

Gramps...

No I understand that, I'm just curious what type of team will take a chance on him. Is it the contender or the team that is trying to rebuild? Regardless, I don't expect him to do much when he comes back, at least for another 2 years. He's out of game shape, recovering from injury, plus he never really learned the game. He will be raw for sure.
