What do you guys think about seeing Greg out on the court shooting again today? I'm getting excited about his return!

Is he gonna play on Wednesday. PLEASE say yes!

In his first game, he grabbed 5 rebounds. Blocked Bynum's shot to halfcourt. And made one good offensive move that he didn't finish. I know he would've played better and better as the game went on. Bynum played the whole game and couldn't grab more than what? 2 or 3 rebounds? Oden's offense would've come to him. I can't wait for Oden to play again!! Please say Wednesday!!!!!!!

Here's a photo of him from Monday.

Looks like he's lost some weight.

I refuse to get excited. I just hope he plays someday for more then a game in a row. Besides, he is going to take awhile to get into game shape, since he wasn't there yet when he got injured.

Thorpe's assessment of seeing Greg in person: http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/columns/story?columnist=thorpe_david&page=Rookies-081111

Maybe it was the "television adds weight" thing. Or maybe he's worked extremely hard. Either way, my first thought when I saw Oden taking shots in his shooting shirt on Monday night was the word "fantastic." As in, he looks fantastic. Slim in the waist, not too puffy in his chest. In fact, he looked lean in all the right places and strong in his lats and shoulders.

Unlike his appearance in the Blazers' first game of the season, his upper body did not look at all disproportionate to his legs. He was jumping lightly in his shooting drills, struggling with his short jumpers but looking very good with his hooks.

I also really liked what the Blazers' coaches were doing with him during pregame. Simple touch shots around the rim are hard to make without lots of reps, so doing them now only helps to get that feeling back more quickly upon his return.

Also some good stuff about Rudy and Nic.

I think it is a great idea to showcase Greg by way of shoot arounds . . . he can't hurt himself that way. :D

Showcase in a shoot around. My how the mighty have fallen. =) Other teams must be shaking in their shoes at our shoot around prowness.

He and anyone else can get injured anywhere... bathtub... DDR ;) stepping off the curb... I can't wait until other teams fear his play on the court and we can stop fearing injuries so much we are afraid to let him on it.

I like the way you're thinking; maybe we should just keep Oden around to trot out for shoot-around and then put him in an Armani for the rest of the year. This way we don't put him on the court and risk him losing his "limitless potential."

The game reported today the Oden would be playing tomorrow.

I am unbelievably excited to see Greg back! And I'm really disappointed in a a few of my buddies that have seemed to give up on Greg already.

Greg will be a Hall-Of-Fame type player. He will improve this team tomorrow night. We will make the Playoffs.

Game on NBA! Game on!

Let's hope he lasts longer than 2 quarters! :)

Couldn't have been at a better time too. Oden will give Miami a lot of problems.

I just want the depth. The bullshit fouls our centers pick up (Priz last nght, LaMarcus against Utah) is frustrating. They almost have to play "soft" to stay in the game. One more big guy will help our D a lot. They need to be able to play aggressively without worrying about the refs.
