But if he fights through all these surgeries, there will be someone who will give him some money to play basketball. He's young. He could still make 10-20 million dollars. That's a lot of money.

I LOVE playing basketball and the sad part for me is that I have the body of a football player but the basketball skills of a Sabonis. I could shoot and pass and rebound like a mother@$#%.

I don't even know what would happen if you didn't have the surgery but I would want to skip it and play, or stay off of the knee until the playoffs and play in the playoffs and have surgery after we won the title.

Then again I put staples in my arm for fun. I rip hangnails out of my hands SLOWLY just to feel the pain. I watch Rachel Maddow's television show with the sound on.

I think perhaps I may be one of those people who get's a jolly out of being hit. Come on Lois hit me, beat the crap out of me, STEP ON MY CUBES.

I feel bad for Greg this has got to be tough.

But in the grand scheme of things many people have far worse struggles in life. He is trying to perform a competitive athletic activity at a level only the top 100 people on the planet can attain, he has to be in near perfect health to do that successfully. If a bus driver has a gimby leg or an english teacher has a flaky shoulder it doesn't effect their careers. Oden needs to be functioning perfectly, and that is very hard for not just him but many many NBA players.

I could easily roll out of bed and go fulfill my scheduled work shift 600 times, but in the NBA that is a record. The game is very physically demanding and it can be hard for anyone to perform, let alone a 7 footer. Look at the other top centers in the west, Yao and Bynum. Injuries are a part of the game.
