Who do you think Charlotte should take? Try to be a fan or the GM for the team, rather than who you want to have them take based on your Blazers fandom.

Tomorrow morning I'll set up another poll with the results factored in .
  1. Atlanta: Alex Sarr, France
  2. Washington: Zacharie Risacher, France
  3. Houston: Reed Sheppard, Kentucky
  4. San Antonio, Stephon Castle, UConn
  5. Detroit, Matas Buzelis, G-League
  6. Charlotte
  7. Portland
  8. San Antonio
  9. Memphis
  10. Utah
  11. Chicago
  12. Oklahoma City
  13. Sacramento
  14. Portland

I went with Clingan. They have some size on their roster (three seven footers and five dudes 6'10" or taller at the moment) and Mark Williams played well as a 22 year-old before he hurt his back after 19 games... but Clingan seems like (a) the best player and (b) the best fit for this roster overall.

I think Knecht is a good fit with Charlotte.

Ball
Knecht
Miller
Bridges (resign him)
Mark Williams

That starting unit has potential assuming Ball can stay healthy

I think Dillingham will go here. LaMelo simply can't stay healthy.

And you could easily play a lineup of:

Dillingham
Ball
Miller
Bridges
Williams

I could also see them going Saluan, Holland, Williams.

I opted for Knecht here. Everyone says he is ready to contribute. Fits at the two giving them a good starting five. If they take Clingan that is probably BPA for them. I can't see them going forward with Miller and Bridges, but they might see Williams or Holland as BPA. Went with Knecht as I said.

That's not what BPA concept is....

WAG
Devin Carter

First, I know less than nothing about the Hornets team. So why did I select Devin Carter?

Based on reports, the Hornets biggest need is perimeter defense. Carter is the best perimeter defender still on the board. But..

After looking at tapes and stats. He is more than a high level defender. Carter is a mad dog on both ends of the floor. His shooting has improved nicely. He is a good player, on both ends of the floor. He gives 110%, every minute he plays.

The more I look into Carter, the more I like him.

But that's not the question for this thread. The question is what you would do if you were Charlotte's GM.

Well aware of that....lol. It was more a commentary on some of the nonsense of what Charlotte has done over the year.

Not a Mark Williams fan?
I had to look that guy up.
Stats OK, highlights... not bad.
-game log >>> 20 to 30 games a year sounds a lot like oft-injured Zach Collins holding down the fort at Center

I’m not sure why he’d still be on the board at 6, but if the tall white dude is still there I think someone will take him

It is a fair concern. Back spasms can be a long-term issue with bigs. But on the other hand, I wonder if they held him out longer last year than they needed to because they were in a similar tank mode as us. So to your point maybe they do draft Clingan....just to be safe.

this draft is totally out of whack. We got told all season it's a weak draft class.

Then all the tanker teams get bumped backwards except Washington. Now everyone is super hyped for future rookies who supposedly weren't that good to begin with.

With workouts in progress, team reporters are seeing some really good athletes, and telling fans how amazing this new draft class is.

Resting players to tank for a ping pong ball completely failed. Roll the tanks out again next season? Why not... go Horny-Blaze-Nets-Pis-Zards !!
