Yi only played 17 minutes because he was taking BAD shots, and causing turn-overs. His Def. was not ok. It was pretty bad and he was getting muscled down low by magette and Harrington on boards and when they would drive in the lane.
Was it a bad game, oh yea. He'll be better, but he needs work and consistancy. He needs to work within the system (what system that is, i have no idea because our ball movement tonight sucked the big one) Same can be said for Ryan Anderson, another guy with potential, makes shots, and then tries to do too much and takes crappy shots or turns the ball over.
On a side note, the blame is not all on Yi or whoever for the crappy shooting. A large chunk can be placed on Harris and Lawrence Frank. Harris was not getting people open or distributing it to open shooters. Lawrence Frank, i really have no idea what he's doing, just seemed there was no ball movement and for the love of god dump the ball down low more when brook has that kind of size advantage. It doesnt matter if he scores or not, it keeps the Def. honest.
Pick and rolls?? Where were they. No spreading of the court. We have tons of shooters yet the open 3's were few and far apart.
Bobby Simmons? did he play?
