The rumor stated on the station has a potential deal involving Flynn, Love, and Brewer for Pryz, Rudy, and Batum. They stated we didn't like that trade and wanted Portland to include LA too, Portland doesn't like that deal because they feel they're giving up too much talent to a division rival. Supposedly they really want Love and are willing to include Batum in a deal for him. They just don't want to have to give up LA without first making sure Oden will be healthy by the start of next season. I for one could go for a three wing rotation in Wes/Batum/Webster, is this why Ridnour visited with us today?

Didn't we already reject their effort to obtain Batum? I like Love, though, but NOT for Batum.

Kahn just seems like he doesn't know what the fuck he is doing.

Batum and Webster will not be playing for the same team next year. And they wanted Aldridge? Why even bother with this garbage?

LOL. That's uh... ambitious.

And Brewer? Nobody wants Brewer. He's the new Ammo.

Brewer is like Stacey Augmon w/o a brain. His IQ is Travis Outlaw/Julian Wright-bad.

Przybilla, Rudy and Batum for Flynn, Love, and Brewer is GREAT for us..

I have to wonder if we're not hearing all of these rumors because teams are starting them knowing that there isn't as much of a PR machine functioning in Portland to counter it.

Kahn is killing me though ... how many fucking small forwards does he want?

And I call bullshit. Since when does "The Fan" ever talk about the Blazers? I thought all they did was talk about boxing, and MLB?

1080 reported this rumor? haha. They don't know shit..

They seem to think Webster will be their SG.

I'd be happy if they really are trying to trade for Kevin Love, but without Batum. His game, especially his passing, would fit in perfectly with Oden (if he can ever stay healthy).

Love's ceiling is David Lee with a post game. His first two seasons he posted PER's of 18.3 and 20.

Webster is a SF
Wesley is a SF
Brewer is a SF

He wants Batum, a pure SF.

Love is a PF
Jefferson is a PF

He wants David Lee, a pure PF.

:ohno:

Brewer may not be close to Batum, but he is an above average defender, and we would get Flynn, who I think would look better in a non-triangle offense. Plus we get Love. For Rudy and Batum and Przy's contract. I think that is a fair deal.

I was high on Flynn coming into the draft but he just hasn't translated that well in the League. Horrible, HORRIBLE defensive player. His DRtg was 114 for the season.

Flynn wouldn't start. Brewer wouldn't start. Love wouldn't start as long as we have LMA still on the roster. We give up one of our most important starters and go-to fourth quarter lock down defender in Batum. No way is that going to happen.

While the Wolves are discussing insanely ridiculous trade rumors that wont happen i'm surprised the "we turned down Roy/Oden for Love/Jefferson" hasn't come out.

Looks good to me too. I love Batum but you got to give up talent to get talent. Love is the bruising PF off the bench that everyone has been clamoring for in here.

Yeah, that's it... let's trade our starter at the SF position for a bunch of back-ups!

I sense a Guinness commercial in your future: "BRILLIANT!"

If these guys were worth trading for don't you think the Wolves record should have been maybe just a little better? Don't get me wrong, they're young, and that roster isn't much to gawk about. But we're talkin about 2-3 of their starters (Love should have started every game). I'd prefer to hold onto Batum, who is more talented, has a higher ceiling, and is already used to making the playoffs. Those guys are already used to playing for a bottom feeder.

I think I would do the trade. I like Flynn, and I think Love would be exactly the kind of player that helps get us over the hump. As much as I like Batum, I think we get a lot of talent for basically Batum and filler.

This seems to be the opposite of a consolidation trade; we trade two guys who aren't really in our plans right now plus a potential all star for three role players.

I would probably do that as well, with a pick coming to us.

Giving up Batum would suck, but adding Love and Flynn would ease that pain. Giving up Joel and Rudy means nothing. Brewer also means nothing IMO.

If the deal included Aldridge instead of Joel, I would flip out and curse the Blazers daily in emails to them.

Who's gonna shoot 3's? I think this is bullshit, we have just one good SF why trade him for a PF when we already have LA? I like Rudy for Flynn, somewhat, because I think Bayless is a SG. but Rudy for Eric Maynor would be a better trade IMO.

Kevin Love a role player? He's averaging a double-double off the bench while on his rookie contract. Dude is a beast and he's one of the best passing big men in the game.

If there's a potential star in this deal, it's Love not Batum.

No kidding.

Love is a lot better than Aldridge right now, and Flynn and Brewer easily make up for losing Batum.

For those who don't know where our 3's will come from should note that while they aren't as proficient as Batum, Brewer shot 35%, and Flynn shot 36% from 3

So if the deal were Pryz, Batum and Rudy, you should jump on it before they change their minds. If it's Aldridge, Batum and Rudy, it's still a good deal, but I'd have to think more than a second to pull that deal

I disagree with that. There are two potential stars in this deal - and they are Batum AND Love.

Personally, I would not do it. Batum fills a much bigger need for this team than Love - but this does not change the fact that K-Love is a fantastic player and a fantastic prospect.

Yeah, I've been thinking the same thing. Or they read the "discombobulated" piece and are hoping we panic trade.
