It always slows down very quickly once it hits land. Lets hope it's the same for this one.
 
Im currently 2 hours away from Nola. Im in Pensacola FL in the panhandle. I know people are evacuating in Nola but we dont have a warning yet.
 
Horrible circumstances, I feel bad for Cuba too.

I don't mind a Cat 3 (for where I live at least), but anything more than that is frightening.

I just came back from work, and we didn't let any passengers go to New Orleans, they're closing the airport later tonight and it'll stay closed until late Tuesday. (that was the message we got from our managers)


My prayers are with the people that will be affected by the hurricane. Hopefully no one is left behind in the city.
 
And it's things like this that make me happy I live in the midwest. At least I'll never get pummeled by a hurricane. You know, I'll just see the worst flood in the history of Iowa, just months after suffering the worst winter in the history of our state as well.
