When it in for some pre op procedures. Had an Esophagael Manometry, upper endoscopy, and a Bravo Study. The secondy endoscopy since they found my hiatal hernia. 6mm.

First sans seditaves they had me basically snort novocaine. Put a tube down my nose into my chest. Not fun.

Then had the endoscopy during which they checked my hernia. It got bigger. They implanted a chip at the base of my esophagus. Found esophagatis. Also found lesions in my stomach and throat they had missed previously. Have to wait 1-2 weeks for results. Then schedule surgery.

Lots of fun.

Where are you having all this work done?

My sister is head nurse or director of nurses or some such thing in Portland somewhere. Specific huh?

Anyway...maybe I could get you some extra popsicles or something. Sounds dumb but when I had my gall bladder out my wife brought the nurses free haircut cards and shampoo and stuff and I got treated better.

OHSU

When I go in for the surgery, I'll be in a day or 2...then 2 weeks recovery

I've had an electrocardiogram thru my mouth and down my throat. No pain med whatsoever. Wasn't all that difficult.

I've also been checked for damage due to Gerds by sticking a tube up my nose and down my throat. That too required no pain medication other than some lubricant. Again, no serious discomfort.

I've also had a tube up my, oh never mind. But I got my revenge. I pissed all over the doctor.

You'll be yelling louder than the PA System at Blazers home games in no time at all.

The very best for you.

Is this your way to get out of voting?

Good luck Chris! I hope the surgery goes well and your recovery isn’t too bad. And a great life after all you internal nicks get eternal fixed.

Hope you get to watch the Balzwrs a lot.

I voted.

I am at home till the surgery. Have to walk around with a bravo monitor the next couple of days to measure my acid levels.

Surgery will be in a month or so hopefully.

It'll be 2 days in the hospital. 2 weeks recovery. I'll survive.
