BREAKING UPDATE! I can't find any stories from Fox news on the just released Benghazi Report findings from the GOP lead House of Representatives. Can you guys help me with my googling technique?!
my failed attempt =[

Nothing funny about four dead Americans.

Nothing funny about four dead Americans.

Edit: It isn't funny. Nor should it be grounds for a false accusation for political gains.

I was able to find a good DrudgeReport article that went deeply into detail on this subject.

The House Intelligence Committee, led by Republicans, has concluded that there was no deliberate wrongdoing by the Obama administration in the 2012 attack on the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi, Libya, that killed Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans, said Rep. Mike Thompson of St. Helena, the second-ranking Democrat on the committee. The panel voted Thursday to declassify the report, the result of two years of investigation by the committee. U.S. intelligence agencies will have to approve making the report public. Thompson said the report "confirms that no one was deliberately misled, no military assets were withheld and no stand-down order (to U.S. forces) was given."

CAN YOU BELIEVE THESE OBAMA SUCK-UPS?!!!

These aren't the results of the select committee, which is focused on the BS video excuse.

There's no statute of limitations on being loose with the truth.

actually, the statute of limitations for perjury is 5 years

There is no perjury in the court of public opinion.

I'm quite sure there are video clips of her obviously lying. Short enough to make good TV commercials.

What the heck are you so pleased with in this report? It doesn't say a damn thing about some fucking video Clinton claimed was the cause of the incident.
Terrorist attack no doubt, that they were totally unprepared to handle. Caught napping I take it.

I don't think it was deliberate. I think it was incompetent and showed incredibly poor judgment. No one involved in the decision making for this clusterfuck should ever seek office again. And that's the problem. The people that were responsible are currently in charge and are asking we put them in charge after this administration for another eight years.

It doesn't? What was the youtube video they discussed on page 16?

Perhaps you're right. Perhaps it does display incompetence. But I wasn't planning on voting for Hillary necessarily. I just am curious why Fox News wasn't as excited about the results as they were about the theoretical Democrat shit storm.

agreed, as well as pretty much everyone else currently in office anywhere

who do you think SHOULD seek office?

I never could understand why a Burke class destroyer or two were not dispatched to stand by
if they deemed it necessary for those people to remain in Benghazi after the Brits pulled out, especially around 9/11. A 5in gun is a hell of a come back to mortar fire and a shore party could have been sent a shore to retrieve those folks. There is a Destroyer squadron assigned to the Med, home ported in Naples. Two of them were on maneuvers in the South Adriatic sea when all this went down.

The use of the Frigate has well been known for a couple hundred years now. Hell my old memory can recall doing the a very similar thing during my time at sea. I guess Hillary nor Barrack know about the use of small well armed Naval ships.

In public relations it is understood if you want to bury bad news you release it on Friday afternoon in August.

So it was the Republican-led House Intelligence Committee declassified its two-year-old investigation into the Benghazi tragedy last week, releasing its findings last Friday, August 1, at 3:30PM Eastern Time.

If you don't want people to know something, you could not pick a better date, day or time.

After all the overheated rhetoric and baseless charges made by wild eyed right wingers, the GOP wanted as few people as possible to know the facts. Here they are, as presented by Republican Rep. Dutch Ruppersberger in a statement:

  • Intelligence agencies were "warned about an increased threat environment, but did not have specific tactical warning of an attack before it happened."
  • "A mixed group of individuals, including those associated with al Qaeda, (Moammar) Khadafy loyalists and other Libyan militias, participated in the attack."
  • "There was no 'stand-down order' given to American personnel attempting to offer assistance that evening, no illegal activity or illegal arms transfers occurring by U.S. personnel in Benghazi, and no American was left behind."
  • "The administration's process for developing "talking points" was "flawed, but the talking points reflected the conflicting intelligence assessments in the days immediately following the crisis."
Rep. Mike Thompson, second-ranking Democrat on the committee, said the panel's findings "confirms that no one was deliberately misled, no military assets were withheld and no stand-down order (to U.S. forces) was given."

Oh, you conservatives didn't hear about this?

That's because your favorite "fair and balanced" news source, Fox News, completely ignored the revelations. What choice did Fox have? The findings run counter to the network's ongoing narrative that the White House was complicit in the attacks.

The House Republicans' own report blows Fox's phony narrative out of the water, not that the facts ever matter to Obama haters.

Nevertheless, this development is unfortunate for the GOP, which was counting on another Benghazi show trial this fall to divert voter attention from its own miserable record over the last two years.

They still think if they scream Benghazi loudly enough, voters will forget the 113th Congress has done practically nothing.

Not on DailyKos either.

You want to accuse them of being fundamentally conservative?

Probably not

Maybe the only people who think Benghazi is a big deal are those who profit from the narrative... and those who believe the narrative.

...there are still people who thing wrasslin's real.

in a vacuum, it is a big deal. murdered humans and whatnot.

compared to hundreds of other things that have happened since, not so much, which is sad, and cynical, and reality
